For e.g. this one: Check out SET UP BOX HYPPTV (HUAWEI) for RM99.00. Get it on Shopee now! https://shopee.com.my/zedtac/1886499961.?smtt=0.0.9i guess im stuck with 200mb speed then, since i need the hypptv Then call TM to bind your account. |

After 2 years of moving to new house, my residence finally got unifi coverage. So yesterday I went to TM Point.
Planned to get rm129 package but the rp said after 2 years, the price will be rm159. Last Nov, when I went there, rm99 package (without hyptv) still available but not yesterday. Finally, I subscribed to unifi basic because the quota already increase to 120gb. This post has been edited by qwerty79: Feb 16 2019, 07:52 PM |

They seem to just make things up as they go along. The website lists the two fibre and the Streamyx packages and does not even mention any of the VDSL options |

Sadly for a company with internet as their main income... Their website is not up-to-date. Last November I only know about the rm99 from the tm point person.I already confirm multiple time with the staff in charge during registration. 120Gb is permanent even after 2 years contract. But I can't confirm if it because of promotion or will stick. Anyway.. It will be confirm when they come to install the unifi. |

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Feb 16 2019, 08:26 PM) May be because I heard a few of my frens complaint about Maxis fiber. The speed is good but when problem still need to wait tm guy to come. When I asked them last November, rm99 package with 30mbs without hyptv also will increase to rm129 after 2 years contract ended. The same for rm129 will increase to rm159. They said because the original price is actually higher than this and this promotion price. The good thing about maxis is it's semetrical speed which is great for upload. |

After with UniFi for 5 years, TM has never increased my promo price even after contract. I think RM 129 is the actual price and not any promo price.Planned to get rm129 package but the rp said after 2 years, the price will be rm159. upgraded to 500Mbps but max speed i could get over wifi 2.4g is only around 120Mbps. 5g under 100...
alcatel btu + tplink wdr4300 + tl-wdn4800 pci. yesterday bought 30m of cat6 cable to test wired speed but only manage to get around 250Mbps. is there anything wrong with the router because i think it should be capable to deliver 500Mbps over wired connection. or 30m is too long for that speed? was thinking of hire a handyman over to do a wired connection from router to pc room upstairs but now i have 2nd thought. i figure that would be cheaper than upgrade to a high end router + pci card. if i'll have to upgrade for full speed even on wired then i might as well go wireless right? any advice? thanks in advance. |

I think this is the initial info we were told when getting the RM129 100mbps package. But after that there was an official annoucement by TM that the price will stay after 2 years. It is their normal style to change their statement and policy then reverse then change then reverse....... and on and on and on.....So just sit back, relax and enjoy the RM129 for 2 years first. Till then only we see how it will actually happen. Nothing much we can do now too. This post has been edited by Cynox: Feb 17 2019, 10:25 AM |

Your speed is probably throttled by the router’s hardware. Wired speed, I'm not sure why it can't get 500mbps when TP-Link claims it can support upto 800mbps.
