For those that take airasia to Haneda airport, how do you commute to Tokyo station? The monorail ends quite early.

That means, there is a very slim chances that I’ll be able to catch the last monorail right?

Taking AirAsia X plus first time to Haneda Airport, chances u get on Monorail just 20%

If you take Premium seat or Quiet Zone then 30%

I brought Panadol into Japan. Also brought other meds like Actal, Imodium, and Loratadine. No issues with their customs.

Is the ICOCA pass sufficient if I'm only travelling in Osaka and Kyoto? I saw the 14 days Kansai itinerary on the first page and I assume that's up-to-date?

It's this one. I'm only there from 16-25 though. Any tips what I can miss on this itinerary for my trip? First time in Japan here

i stay at the capsule hotel in the airport called first cabin to avoid any troubles. although it's expensive for 1 night, at least it's much better than rushing here and there

i suggest u to do the same if u are going there for the 1st time.

edit: 1 more thing. airasia tends to delay the flight so be prepared, maybe it will land around 10:30pm or later.

I think it depends. AA might have more tolerance for latecomers so to fill the seats. You know Malaysians are very poor in keeping to the time. Also weather does play a big role in arrival times as bad weather will prolong the flight journey. A lot of factors.

For my trip to Japan (Kyushu) via AA it was early 10 mins vs scheduled but the custom clearance was hell. In this case, even full service national carriers also face the same problem. I was delayed 1 hr more than anticipated (was expecting superfast superefficient Japan customs, mana tau have to wait in a snaking line like queuing to buy concert tickets).

So I guess taking a cab would be the best option?

Check out our page 1 poat #1. There is a specific guide there. Very useful reference for late arrivals getting out of airport.

That would probably be ur last and safe option. Didn't someone pointed there is still bus services or something? Just plan for contingencies. Even I had to go for next option on the first day first time I landed in Japan.

That is not too bad considering an airport transfer in Europe is around RM600 on a day time.

taking a cab cost RM350-RM500 huh.

I don't know about the bus fee but what i know that staying at first cabin cost u around 5500 yen or RM200 per night in a male cabin.

so u decide lol. or u can just sleep at the airport for free.

Like the people in the above says, plan for contingencies. if plan a doesn't work out, have a backup plan b or plan c.

Good luck.
