Hello guys. I'm gonna travel for the first time to Osaka, Japan alone this coming March. Just wanna ask if 100,000 yen is enough just for food for 8-10 days stay in Japan. Going there mainly for the food. Dying to try the ramen there. biggrin.gif

I have been to Nobeyama station...the highest station in Japan.(it says on the plague). I have always thought the shinkansen is the most expensive.  laugh.gif  This Kyushu Seven Star should be very expensive looking at your pictures. This should be something like our E&O. nod.gif
Rm4k for 10 days would be more than enough, though depending on what you are looking at. I would say with that budget, you are most likely to be looking at lower to middle range food prices.

Yeah I'm only goin to hit up the ramen places over there. Some curry places, okonomiyaki, street foods and some others. Not interested in going to the more upscale places. Planning on going on a seperate trip this year for the sushi restaurants.

Is the ICOCA pass sufficient if I'm only travelling in Osaka and Kyoto? I saw the 14 days Kansai itinerary on the first page and I assume that's up-to-date?

It's this one. I'm only there from 16-25 though. Any tips what I can miss on this itinerary for my trip? First time in Japan here
