Don't bother. Get your own router. 500Mbps contract? You mean you are getting turbo upgrade to 500Mbps? New signup is only 30 or 100Mbps.
Ouch, why did you do that? Might as well buy your own. Routers are cheap and plenty are better quality than DIR-842.

Lazy and cheapskate to invest.. Haha dun wan to fork out more than RM 200.. Have been using Unifi for years.. So don't mind the 2 years contract..

Thanks for your input, yes turbo upgrade to 500mbps, I have seen a lot of recommendation for the asus blue cave. Just managed to cancel the router that they offered. What else do I need besides a new router. A new cable as well? TM technician charging me RM50 for the setup once I get everything ready. I am quite confused with the usb thingy in order to get full speed. So I could not get full speed on mobile phone?

Fair enough, but you can get the Archer C6 for slightly more than RM200, which is a bit of a waste though, but whatever makes you happy.

Here you go: https://superuser.com/questions/744065/what...ing-for-my-rout

Here too: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4658454

By the way, don't expect 2.4GHz to be good for use. It is full of interference and very congested most of the time.

Find third party forwarding agent. They have normal air shipping & sensitive air shipping (which normally for electronic items, or any sensitive item will be prohibited upon custom clearance)

Btw OT already ya. You can google it.
or refer this : http://hxil.pw/content/?id=1005 (my always use forwarding agent)

is router considered as sensitive item? so far i have brought electrical shaver, led light projector with bluetooth speaker, air purifier, mate 20 game controller with bluetooth. all reached safely with taobao direct sea shipment.

Direct sea shipment no problem for sensitive item to clearance custom.
But for air shipment very strict, and yes, those electrical item as mentioned also considered sensitive item.
Router is sensitive item as per check with my forwarding agent.

Sorry for OT again, just reply info sweat.gif biggrin.gif

Can but depends on the torrent as is always the case with torrents.

600+ Mbps on Turbo500 for a single Centos torrent chosen for its well-seededness. Downloading to internal MacBook Pro SSD.
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=90581156

Of course the router and computer, especially the disk, also needs to be up to the task.

Have not tried on Turbo800 yet.

Halo, I’m foreigner, i applied TM Unifi but was rejected since they need 2 years contract. Currently under assignment in KL until dec 2020. However, since my passport will be expired in June 2020, the work permit written on the passport is only until May 2020. But I still have a letter from immigration stating that my work permit is until Dec 2020. Once I renewed my passport (plan to do it end of this year) then working permit also will be updated.

Is there any chance for my application to have unifi at my place to be approved for installation and subscription? Currently stay in The Mews Condominium with rent contract until Jan 2021.
