Halo, I’m foreigner, i applied TM Unifi but was rejected since they need 2 years contract. Currently under assignment in KL until dec 2020. However, since my passport will be expired in June 2020, the work permit written on the passport is only until May 2020. But I still have a letter from immigration stating that my work permit is until Dec 2020. Once I renewed my passport (plan to do it end of this year) then working permit also will be updated.

Is there any chance for my application to have unifi at my place to be approved for installation and subscription? Currently stay in The Mews Condominium with rent contract until Jan 2021.
*
Hmm. They should be happy if you didn't fulfill the two years contract, so that you will need to pay for the penalty. On another hand, foreigners need to pay for deposit. So I don't know why your application was rejected. A lot of my foreigner colleagues have registered for UniFi and TIME with ease. Ours is also 2-year work permit and extendable after that.

Try going to another agent or apply directly from TM Point?

Can try with 800 account?

I asked my friends with 800 and they said only about 600, cannot get full 800 on torrent.
*
No problem. Here's a test on Turbo800 with a 20GB free open-source fishing game that I won't be playing. From a private tracker.

I normally use uTorrent for its nicer interface but qBittorrent is faster generally.

qBittorrent 4.1.5 (TCP+uTP)
Router: Mikrotik hAP AC2
MacBook Pro Retina 15" Late 2013 i7-4850HQ (Downloading to internal SSD)
Thunderbolt GbE Adaptor
IP: 175.137.0.0/16

Also tried Centos Everything ISO but it connects to fewer seeds and was about 10% slower.

I can get around 130Mbps++ to 150Mbps+ on 2.4Ghz with my TP-Link C1200 rolleyes.gif
*
That's really good. The C1200 actually not that bad. Good enough for most users.

Have a look here. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=4279579

Why do you need a VPN for P2P? Security or speed?

hi. do you guys know how to make a report to mcmc or other gov department about unifi billing probem.

I've been charge for unifi tv ultimate pack for the month of december 2018 when i never used it. They didn't even install the STB at my home. contacted Tm through their website and went to TM point. but they still ask me to pay. They say it's a fee for 'pelarasan'. I did request for aneka plus pack last month, but until today, they didn't install it.

And today, they have suspended my internet service, asking me to pay the 300+ before they can reinstate my internet.

MB/s to mbps = MB/s x 8 = mbps == 12.5MB/s x 8 = 100mbps
So yours 17.3MB/s = 138.4 mbps

Just now the torrent test is download from a Private Tracker, but the speed is average 9-12 MB/s

What is your router model? Mine is AC68U, might try with AC86 to see any improvement over LAN

TM gave speed upgrade and now try to reduce their cost by not providing certain equipments? hmm.gif

Trying out hAP AC2 as my RB750Gr3 was not fast enough to handle Turbo800 due to my use of local VLANs and a VLAN trunk for HyppTV and Internet.

Happy to report hAP AC2 more than capable. See the screen recording for CPU usage. HyppTV is also streaming at the same time as the test. Forgot to turn the TV off but it didn't affect the test.

At RM300, a very affordable choice if you're on Turbo800 and trunking your HyppTV. Can put off buying the RB4011 for now.  sad.gif

hAP AC2 (IPQ4018 CPU same as ASUS RT-AC58U)
ether1 - Unifi BTU
ether2 - vlan 50 and 600 trunk to RB2011UAS downstairs
ether3 - AP (Aztech FG7008GR)
ether4 - unused
ether5 - to my MacBook Pro (Thunderbolt GbE adaptor)

Fasttrack: ON
Bridge ports hw_offload: OFF (auto off due to vlans in bridge)

VLANs configured are 500, 600, 50 (ipv4 LAN), 56 (ipv6 LAN) and 70 (IoT LAN.)
Only 500, 600 and 50 in use during this test.

My gr3 seems to be running fine for turbo800. Is it due to the local VLAN on your set up?

Free upgrade speed, but reduce the equipment.
Maybe in the future, modem also not provide by free also..

In terms of not provide STB box, does the playunifi apps any improvement?
I guess most of the ppl know the answer.

Kinda lousy apps and not stable at all.. Especially VOD.
By the way, sometimes the voice is more faster than the video... shakehead.gif

So for the new customer still have to pay Rm30 but no STB and HyppTv only through apps?

Im willing to give my STB just to cancel the subscription for HyppTv. nod.gif
