I received upgrade notice awhile ago but never bother to test it out... after all, I am not heavy users, 10mbps even sufficient for me blush.gif ...
but one thing i noticed was, the support seem to get downgraded blink.gif ... in my 3rd day without phone & internet now and still not receiving call/sms from them after the last sms when i done making complaint: "We're trying to resolve your report within the next working days blah blah"... 1st few months using unifi i always received call from technical team after report made within hours but now doh.gif ...

Just curious to know a little bit more, you mean TM is not ready for IPv6 ?
"Unstable" is the correct word

Just got upgraded from 100mbps to 800 mbps.

Hardware spec as below :

Huawei HG8240w
Asus RT-AC55UHP

Tested on wired connection Cat 5e, Hitting max 350 MBPS
Tested on Wifi @ 5 ghz 1 meter from Router. Hitting max speed approx 290 - 300 MBPS.

Not sure if this is due to cable issue. Just ordered Ugreen Cat 6 cable.. will test it out and update here..

btw, do you guys think it could be cable or my BTU or router ?

Router i used to have QOS enabled.. matching my previous 100mbps speed. So disabled QOS now.

is NAT should be enabled or not ?

Your router does not support 800Mbps both on wired and wireless. Wired, probably yes, and that will need a new beta firmware available from the Asus Malaysia thread somewhere, but definitely NOT on wireless. See 1st page, 1st post, green page, for list of compatible routers. You need at least the Asus RT-AC86U. NAT should be enabled, unless you are on IPv6, otherwise, you won't be able to go online.

for LAN, is your desktop gigabit too?

for wifi, u need a better router to get higher speed.

if not, 300 is about all u can get.

read page 1 and the wifi thread, answers r there.

yr question comes out TWICE every day in LYN!

350Mbps even with QOS disabled with AC55UHP? Current firmware has issue with NAT acceleration. Please use beta firmware posted by Asus Representative below.

Hi All,

For those who are using RT-AC58U or RT-AC55UHP router and have trouble getting the high speed using LAN, you can try updating the beta firmware below. Do let me know is you have any problem with the firmware.

shot ver: my Alcatel Lucent I-240G-P went kaput so I contact TM to replace it.

Got the Nokia G240G-E modem which is nice aesthetically, and was able to snap my ONU pass. But too bad because the login pass for the GPON (which is now SFU) interface is "random numbers" RIP

Bertenang, don't so fast take the bait! For all the aggravation we'd had to endure the last few months, it should be free!

Yeah it should be free.

And of cos I'll ask them if there any contract renewal first, if yes I'll reject, or else just take it.

Guys,

still no news or notification about my unifi when will get turbo to 300mbps.
Now I really tempted to go TM point to change the plan to 100mbps and pay RM129 monthly instead of current RM170.

any other point of view? my existing unifi contract only expire on Mar-19

Probably enough, depending on which Pi model. Pi 3 B+ consumes almost 3W under load, while most HDDs consume 2-2.7W.

Are there 2nd Raspberry Pis? I've looked for a few before, but there's barely price difference between selling used and new.

Are you planning to power the Pi via the USB port on AC1200? It could work i suppose. AC1200 is USB 2.0, so, should be able to deliver a max of 500mA [according to standard spec]. Rpis power consumption table here.

EDIT: I did some searching. It may or may not work, ymmv. These links are old but there's some info there. Link 1. Link 2. Link 3.
I'm not sure if there's a local steam cache setup for a community or the like. But a while back, I found this.

Well for my upcoming Pi-Hole mini project, these components I will use:

1. Raspberry Pi Zero (w/o Wifi)
2. ENC28J60 10Mbps Network Adapter Module

According to this site, Raspberry Pi Zero (w/o Wifi) has the lowest power consumption among all Pi's. So hopefully it shouldn't be any problem when supplying from USB port from the back of the router.

Bonus, a Reddit user post his setup with display which power supplied from TP-LINK router.

Q : with 10Mbps/1.25MBps before this, did you get maxed out to the dload speed to 1.xMBps?

seem like some of the people here are facing this. I even raise this complain but when tmnet reset my connection it will back to normal for a while before it start to throttle the speed. I just cant get full 12.5 download speed last time after downgrade last month. tested the speed by downloading video driver or ubuntu anyhow.
