a brief "report"... for those interested...

.. was told priority for houses; others wait till sep 2019.
.. i said to the staff... "i live in a house".
.. she made report to "escalate".

.. today, got turboed, received sms.
.. but can't get 800 with LAN; only 6xx with TPlink1200; 5xx with asus rtac1300uhp; UL 20x ok.
.. will do more tests, report and see what they can do.

paying rm179 with STD20, ultimate.

All other cables... cat6.

is your sony smart running on androidtv?

if it is, u can sideload all kinds of apps on it, incl unifi playtv and astrogo.

i read some people suggesting use of 20mghz? or was it 80mghz?

this is for wifi, not LAN, right?

any router setting u can suggest to check and try?

i am ok with wifi, accept it, just not satisfied with <700mbps for LAN.

what wud u set if u have a mix of 5ghz and 2.4ghz devices?

the asus has an option "20/40/80mhz" - this should be auto - wud this be best?

likely just poor seeds.

big or small files, i get up to 20MB/s.

if u r out of contract now, u can go change contract to rm129 100mbps... save money.

now, go for nothing less than 20gb.

it is official. they have said if u sign up before dec 31, u get turbo "in 2019".

300, 500, 800 packages are not available right now.

but everyone knows they will be available when more less all existing have been turboed.

the question is what prices then.

unifi guys came, tests... tplink ac1200 can do 800-820mbps - with his laptop.

i think i couldnt get becos the device i used rated giga maxed out at 650.

i have no other device with gigaport for LAN.

the guys were nice, change the router to dlink dir842 (he took back the tplink) - this one also did 820, wifi a bit stronger.

so... when somebody says he/she can't get 800mbps LAN, first question gotta be "what device"!


btw, do u know if this dir842 can serve as repeater or AP?

just thinking longer term how to make use of this dlink 842 and my asus 1300uhp.

what speed yr unifi.
what device u use.
where u get the utube version.
