I received upgrade notice awhile ago but never bother to test it out... after all, I am not heavy users, 10mbps even sufficient for me blush.gif ...
but one thing i noticed was, the support seem to get downgraded blink.gif ... in my 3rd day without phone & internet now and still not receiving call/sms from them after the last sms when i done making complaint: "We're trying to resolve your report within the next working days blah blah"... 1st few months using unifi i always received call from technical team after report made within hours but now doh.gif ...

Have a question, guys...
My current cabling set up is:
From the Fibre Distribution Box on the pole behind my home, they pulled overhead Fiber cable (black) and fixed a small loop on the wall then continued across the roof through the louver window and directly went down to the BTU in the living quarter below...

Is this a standard practice? Actually, is that box on the pole a distribution box or FTB? I thought it was the former...

I see, than kyou... so the installation guide is considered a bit outdated... but I'd assume in such case many charges are also different now? Didn't get to find more info from TM website or even technical support is not helping at all...

Thats what ive been told by the installer. Now tm cut many cost. They dont even provide the fiber cable to the installer anymore, the installer have to source themselves using their own money. And tm commision is still the same, RM180 per installation.

Thats why now, if cable needed beyond the standard lenght, u have to pay the installer.

doh.gif wow... many change in less than 1 yr... guess the political shift affected it but still, my unifi was installed just last Nov, barely a year (back then already cut cost here & there even b4 509)...
now they suspected it's the cable problem that i lost connection & phone service and i need to cash out for the repair which de tech guy said must change the whole cable blink.gif
