Do you mean most of the cheap cable are sold on the it stores are not legit?

Dang just wasted 50ringgit for cat7 cable lol

Very hard to say. Aluminium is a cheaper material compared to copper. Therefore a lot of "china" product clad the aluminium with copper to reduce cost. Safety wise is a hazard as alumium melts easier than copper. Unfortunately the only way to tell this is to cut open the wires and do a burn test. Aluminium will just be like tin foil, once caught fire will wither and melt straight away.

American lan cable such as those commscope or german shneider is 100% copper.

Well, since i already bought 2 myself lets just hope it works and lasts.

Is it true? I received mine on Monday and immediately installed and connected between my router & PC, so far it is working well.

Please google CCA lan cable. It will tell u more. It is cheap for a reason and maybe dangerous too. There are many inferior fake lan cables nowadays.

If use for ethernet cable should be ok i guess. Hopefully it delivers.

It think this is make sense since copper is so expensive and the cable is selling so cheap. Anyway i think transmit of data signal should be safe i guess.

Yah but dont forget CCA cables are brittle. Bend extremely and it is likely the cable cannot be used anymore. If can use just use but dont expect it to last super long.

Anyone else notice that since the recent upgrade exercise that their router seems to drop the connection more often?

Router has beed rebooted 4 times in the past 3 days to reestablish a connection.

500Mbps in Damansara area, if it's any indication.

Change to a different router and see if it still does that. It is not the TP-Link C1200 is it?

No, still the base DIR-850L from back when I first subscribed.

Pending purchase and arrival of newer router.

Just wondering whether it's a modem issue, router issue or a local TIME broadband node issue.

Never had it reset so frequently before this.

Speedtests in the afternoon from 1 to 7 pm is generally the slowest as I only get max 500 Mbps. I guess this is the peak hours.

I install together with Time fiber cable inside the cable trunking, there are several 90degree bends along the skirt of the wall, by the way i bought round type instead of flat type so i guess it is more durable.

You have to test with a different router, then you will know.

Is that so? Good thing I downgraded to 500/500 then. Getting my full package speed now.

Attached Image

Even over AV1200 powerline (so called 900+ Mbps link), I can still get 200Mbps from my PC.

Hi everyone could you please help me to answer this? Hahahaa  biggrin.gif

And should I call TIME to ask them to change my router to support 500Mbps? Cz now is TP LINK AC1200

Thanks a lot in advance

If you are still in contract, after the auto upgrade, you can login to selfcare portal & choose to downgrade to 100Mbps with contract reset.
If you are no longer in contract, your contract will not be reset & you are free to choose any downgrade package you like.

500Mbps will be still using TP-Link AC1200.

TPLink supports 500Mbps "technically".

I believe if you downgrade from 500-100 your contract will be reset to 24Mo,
but if you upgrade to 1Gbps it won't reset. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
However if you already have TPLink C1200 router you will not get the new DLink 882 router upon upgrade.
Usually mesh wifi system will have a backhaul channel with high bandwidth to do all the heavylifting. Your performance won't be cut by half, but will be slightly reduced.

Any sifu here can advise how to lower the PING when use with PS4? notworthy.gif
I just installed TIME 100Mbps, to my surprise the PING when connected to US game server is way over 200ms. sad.gif Even PINg with ASIA region is around 200ms. My previous stimix is below 100ms for Asia region. How could TIME be worse than stimix? doh.gif

Remarks: The PING reading is shown in Ps4 game Plants vs Zombies:Garden Warfare 2

Somebody mentioned before for international gateway TM is still better than other local broadband providers.
