Try to perform a hard factory reset, and then upgrade the firmware to the latest v2.08TT.
Auto Upgrade can be done via https://time.com.my/checkmyrouter

This was due to the previous Aug bill was not billed in full (until 31st Aug) which subjects to 0% GST. Starting 1 Sept, 6% of SST is introduced, so the part that haven't been billed will be calculated with 6% SST.

Hi, I would like to know how do I downgrade from 1Gb to 500mbps ?

If downgrade, does this mean my contract will be reset (I just subscribe this year) ?

Do I get any charge or penalty due to this action?

Previously when I had 100mbps I used to get 8-10mbps download speed on steam
now its upgraded to 500mbps ACCORDING TO SPEED TEST, but according to real test What on earth is wrong with TIME now???? I am getting frustratingly mad.

All your promo that you are currently enjoying (if Any) will be removed.

router was given for free thus i dont want to renew contract by getting new router, then again. should i opt for the ac1200?

Dear all,

Im experiencing these strange occurrences:

1) When I open Chrome to browse any page (especially the search bar in Chrome address bar), it takes more than 8-10 seconds to load any page that I key in. Sometimes even encounter "page time out" and I have to refresh then only it will load on 2nd or 3rd attempt.

2) Google Maps on Chrome lags and as I try to put the "man" on the map, the streetview just doesnt work. Sometimes to get directions (when key in 2 locations) also got issue and does not respond.

My desktop is wired to AC1200 router and currently on 500mbps (previously 100mbps package).
I would also like to note that my desktop connection is via IPCOM wall wireless access point. Product in page below:

My Chrome is always up to date.

Is there any 'advanced' setting that you guys use on the router to ensure fast loading of pages? Im assuming pages should load within 3 secs with 500mbps speeds. And im not talking about graphic intensive pages or websites from far away servers, mostly google search pages and Gmail.

If that is the product, then the max speed you can get is only 100Mbps as it only supports FE ports,which is up to 100Mbps. The AC1200 is also not an optimal router for 500Mbps, on wireless.

Disable IPv6 too. What antivirus are you using? That could affect it as well.

Thanks for highlighting the limitations of the hardware but I have alredi encountered this issue since the beginning of this year when the speed was still 100mbps.

I will try disabling the IPv6.

Hi, since time upgraded my 100mbps to 500mbps, i never get any higher than 300mbps download speed with my 5ghz wifi

No problem with the router as it is maximum at 300Mbps.
If your receiving devices support 3X3 only can achieve more speed.

C1200 until 300Mbps only except receiving devices support MIMO.
