If cards were approved before 1st Sept 2018, can call to cancel the Visa/MasterCard and only retain AmEx. You still need to pay for the AmEx SST or offset with 10k TP.
I can do that?Credit Cards Maybankard 2 Gold & Platinum Cards V20, 5% M2 Amex on weekend spending (NOT ALL)

Hi im quite noob regarding cc. Im planning to get iphone through easyphone plan since my contract finished d and nowadays celcom need cc for easyphone plan. How will it affects my credit limit ya if lets say my credit limit is rm12k and the monthly installment is rm220 for 2 years? Rm220 x 24 is rm5280 and so my balance left is rm6280. Is that right?

if there is any revert of transaction on Amex card, will the cash rebate be taken back also?
for example, 1 June - there is one rm1k transaction A, there is another rm1k transaction B. 2 July - rm50 cash rebate is given for the transaction A. 15 July - there is a reverse of transaction A will the cashback of rm50 be taken back after 15 July? if yes the rm50 for transaction A is taken back, will the rm1k transaction B be given cash rebate of rm50 due to the transaction A is reversed? |

QUOTE(westlife @ Jun 28 2019, 09:46 AM) if there is any revert of transaction on Amex card, will the cash rebate be taken back also? If 15 July is a weekend then it will affect July cashback. You can get negative cashback that way. So you would need to spend RM2k on weekend to get RM50 cashback for July.for example, 1 June - there is one rm1k transaction A, there is another rm1k transaction B. Of course, this year 15 July is a Monday so no effect. Think of it this way, end of month Maybank will sum up all your transactions on weekends and then give/take 5% of that. If the sum is -1k, then they'll subtract RM50. Stupid thing is I think that will work that way even if your initial transaction wasn't on weekend. Pretty sure you can appeal in that case though. Source: a long while ago someone experienced this for Barcelona, where they got a refund (VAT when returning from overseas) to Barcelona and Maybank 'taxed' it by 2% due to above calculation (Barcelona is of course everyday cashback). |

RM0.00 Maybank Cards: Get 10,000 Points when you activate & spend min. of RM250 with your Maybank Card ending XXXX by 31/7/2019. T&Cs apply.
I received the above SMS today. Long time I didn't use M2C Visa. My anniversary date is on July 2019 and I planned to cancel this Visa card before SST charge. Suddenly this morning I received this SMS. Is this a new way Maybank offer REBATE / CASH BACK to offset SST for the inactive CC. |

Check the transaction date of this reversal, if 1/6/19, you will get -RM50 CB on 1/8. If 15/7/19, no recall of CB.for example, 1 June - there is one rm1k transaction A, there is another rm1k transaction B. |

EasyPhone require credit card for auto debit every months. It will not use your credit limit as your plan and device fee will generate every month. It follow your bill, don’t worry about your credit limit.I am using Celcom easyphone btw. This post has been edited by jiaen0509: Jun 29 2019, 12:43 AM |

Got my cards a year ago with RM5k credit limit (first card it's expected 😂)
Decided to request for a credit limit through M2U on Wednesday for future installment purchase. Requested for limit to increase to RM10k (trying my luck). My application got approved for RM8k credit limit on Friday. Ok la considering a little over double my salary Friends and family always complain Maybank is quite stingy with credit limit cause not relative to their salary and always get rejected for increase 😅 Anybody got their side of the story? |
