Maybe because many people use their bigpay to pay foreign account with MYR? That's where got chargers from now on. Thus, good bye bigpay.

Why would we even want to pay foreign account with MYR?

Betul, that's why I don't understand what's all this talk "good bye bigpay. hello wise"

BigPay also have duitnow

Wise have FPX. I believe duitnow is easier.

Wise has bank account, but it is not instant.. sometimes takes about 2-6 hours to reflect in wise.

Maybe because many people use their bigpay to pay foreign account with MYR? That's where got chargers from now on. Thus, good bye bigpay.

Yeah trying to learn about WISE i don't see any reason WISE is better lol ... who the heck pays MYR overseas ... must be crazy .. always pay in local currency ... some say for WISE you can buy foreign currency in advance .. but how does that guarantee anything ... what if when u want to travel then currency drops further? lol ... then no difference with playing forex right ..It's still a gamble .. as if anyone can predict forex up down .. I still don't understand haha

u can put rm and no need buy other currency in wise. when u transact, it will deduct from rm. work same as bigpay. But give u more option to buy other currency.
Last time i use merchantrade to buy currency. However the rate buy /sell is terrible
So wise work well when i transition over from bigpay [ due to so many spam fraud call]
anyway, choise is yours to buy currency. anyway, it is same as HLB multi currency & other card.

right so for me it's 2 different cards ... btw i use both ... WISE is good when you need to send and receive money from overseas ... i sell/buy stuff from around the world so WISE is like 500x better than paypal ...

Bigpay is for spending when travelling overseas ... I remember using WISE overseas many years back it didn't work very well thats why i dont use it ...

Anyone compared the conversion rates between the 2? If WISE is more widely accepted now and rate is better then really no point to keep bigpay anymore. Else I would keep bigpay just for overseas spending. coz it's surely better than regular credit cards.

I see comments and data here and there but nothing conclusive. Iirc seeing someone compared tng visa, bigpay and wise on the tng e wallet thread, I think it was Japan trip. Overall I think the conclusion was tng is worst, bigpay might be better than wise, this is also really a big MIGHT.

Problem is you need the data all to be transactions made on the same day, same currency and may depend on posting date which is not easy to compile.

I think bigpay still ok for overseas travel for now until someone conclusively prove their rate is too uncompetitive. I mainly just think of it as a reliable prepaid card. But the 1% credit card fee charges is probably what I find harder to accept la. But since their exchange rate still ok, I will still use them, at most from fpx only lo.

Yeah so far never had problem using BP overseas in many countries ... will probably continue to use .. I'm not good at "predicting" when forex will drop and buy currency before travelling lol ... no cashback then too bad lo top up with fpx

Never never never use credit card to pay Wise for card issuance and reload. It is a CASH ADVANCE transaction, i.e. you need to pay 5% (with minimum charge) fee and CC interest to your credit card issuer.

Top up RM, Source of fund in RM - cannot.
Try other currency one by one. At your own risk. Warning: Cash Advance fee, CC interest and Forex charge apply.
