This is what I am expected.
I'm still waiting for Unifi package pricing reduce.

But first thing first is it can implement to remove the monopoly licence broadband?
You know what I am saying... cool2.gif

when no GST, hope not replace with SST

SST is for sure but previously UniFi had no SST, I guess should be OK.

Guys,

need some understanding on previous billing. UNIFI is finally available in my area and the installation will be later today morning. I've been using 8Mbps for 4 years now and moving to 50mbps. Question is, since I had paid for 8mbs service for 30 days while the service is moving to unifi in 15 days or so after payment (since TM's billing style is "pay and use" scheme), how will they compensate my streamyx payment? Will they send a cheque?

Then I guess the officer will choose ur plan as upgraded plan.

So they'll upgrade your billing from previous payment + pro-rated + new plan pricing.

If you choose cancel streamyx n apply unifi, then it's not refundable. So u need pay for new plan + pro-rated month.

I found out my UniFi IP has been stuck in the 42.191.xx.xx address. Anyone has similar experience?

Since the federal government has changed now, do you think TM will HOLD the current ongoing RMK-11 project (HSBB2 and SUBB) which presumably finished by end of 2019? I'm thinking that most probably TM will hold the project first until the new federal government announce something. If that's true, thus unifi coverage wouldn't be expanding at all sad.gif

I think adsl2+ shd be stretched to the limit first. Introduce 6mbps package for those ineligible for 8mbps, accelerate vdsl2 deployment, open market and allow more operators to run lines alongside or where tm didnt cover

Fiber is actually very economical: unlike telephone where everyone has dedicated line, gpon fibre is 1 to many (like all the houses fiber just merge together into 1 single line, no segregation of signals)

This modem keep disconnect,
my method is unplug power cable,
reconnect power back, but it's work for half hour only then will dc again.

Change your RJ45 cable. It might be malfunctioning.

yep, I'm paying RM199. Mine, the agent came knocking out doors, since my Jalan many wanted, I didn't want to play hardball and risk not getting a port so I accepted the RM199. I'm not sure if I could have gotten a better deal as my 8MBPS I was paying RM 169. I could have got better maybe if TM send's their "Special SMS" but like I said dare not risk not getting a port plus I couldn't wait rclxm9.gif

Yes, i heard the new router giving is TP link tri-band one. the old one is Dlink 850L block cylinder, which is weak in wifi signal.
