Why though? If anything it should be less since I wasn't enjoying the full 100Mbps speed for the whole month. I should be pro-rated and pay the 50mbps rate for the time in the month before the upgrade.

If u read ur the service date for UniFi, it pro-rated ur 50Mbps for current month and full charge for 100Mbps from the date u got upgraded until next month.

So... in a bad situation here;

Currently a Unifi Biz Pro 100 user. Being charged RM399 (after GST) a month, but since the voice plan 70 that I was offered with already end of contract - I'm being charged RM475+ now a month to continue using the voice plan. I don't use the phone either btw, but that's besides the point I'm about to make;

I went to TM point and they told me that the only way to reduce my bill usage is to either downgrade or switch my plan to the new RM349 plan which comes with voice 50. Alternatively, I could cancel my Biz Pro 100 and subscribe as a new user for Residential 100 that is priced at RM329.

I asked why are people getting RM199 or some even RM149 for 100mbps? They say that is zone region specific and in my area (Cheras, Taman Maluri) there is no such promotion.

So here's my question to you guys; do I switch my current plan to the new RM349 plan or do I cancel my and resub as a new user under residential 100mbps (RM329)? Or do I complain to MCMC for this idiotic practice in pricing instead?

recently just upgraded to 100mbps but I found out can fully get 100mbps every time get around 90mbps only is that normal?

are you using 2.4GHz or 5Ghz? If its 5GHz, have you tried with other devices?

Dir-850L is a shitty router. Mine locks up daily and needed a restart on a daily basis. Wifi signal will also drop off whenever the router wishes.
I put back my old streamyx dir-2750e into service and things are back to normal.

Like some mentioned earlier, I think it’s a zone specific promo i.e. applies to those living in TIME coverage zone which also offer RM149 for 100Mbps package.

When I asked can give RM189 per month, the caller said that's with contract and price not permanent...

Anyway, I have until tomorrow to decide whether to upgrade, any suggestions? Should I accept the offer?

Ur dir850l might have problem already. Mine used it for 2 years+ on 24hrs only turnoff during thunderstorm. So far it is still functioning good. Constantly 100mbps on 5ghz.

so far i have not seen anyone shared the RM149 statement here...

if there's one only then it may be special case...

so majority of us here won't get this special deal...i guess
