Unifi just called me to upgrade my speed from 50mbps to 100 mbps and add rm20 only. And no contract. take or not ?

Last week they also same offer to me but until now yet upgrade soon going to live chat with them

hey peeps! just upgraded my tm 50mbps to 100mbps. the technician just changed my router to the new one. is there any tips and tricks that i should know to increase security on the router? or any other things that i need to know?

edit: oh yea. is there any way we can remove the @unifi at the back of the wifi SSID? lulz

about this. no contract right. let say we accept this offer and the next few weeks or months after using it, i decide i wanna downgrade back 50mbps because i dont wanna pay more.

how ya? possible?

Not long. I think only 2 weeks max. Can't remember when they called me.

I think not possible to downgrade. you can apply new line then potong old. but you contract for another 2 years rclxs0.gif
new package maybe not as nice as old one laugh.gif

just edit your ssid lor. change mine ever since I install unipai in 2015. change mine & family's routers without ever needing to call TM technician
is easy if know how to read n goggle answer online. is not rocket science icon_idea.gif

You can't change the suffix on the Archer la. It's hard coded with the firmware. I thought I could find ddwrt or openwrt to replace it but there's no development for it that I ended up using back my trusty AC68U.

My connection kept dropping with Archer C1200. Pretty lousy I would say.

Flash Australia firmware and you can get rid the unifi said surfix

I wold say change to the TP-Link Archer C7 v4 and your problems will all be solved. The Australia firmware is just a temporary stop gap measure.

I just needed it to be stable as my backup. Few days of testing it I keep getting dropped connections. I'm back to using my Asus router which is solid enough.
