So nice, immediately redirect call.

I remember when I terminated my card with a bank (muka harimau), the retention team called me 3 months later after I terminated my card. Not sure if its a retention team or post-mortem team. I say, so late, might as well you don't call.

Just kena 3rd & 4th fraud transactions (twice kena charge with Paypal) with my 3rd UOB CC, this time with PRVI Miles Elite card. Too bad this time, I realised it too late & the transactions had been confirmed. But they confirmed those are not 3D Secure transactions (means no.OTP were sent).

For my case, clear cut to contra back the transactions right?

A fraud attempt just happened on my UOB PRIVMILES Elite. At first, I received an OTP for PayPal verification, I already suspected something amiss before I could call UOB to check further, another SMS came in telling me RM 45.03 at PayPal Google Proxima went through. sweat.gif

Anyway, long story short, I managed to call UOB to block the card and according to the CS, this transaction is still pending and asked me to monitor for a few days to see if it successfully went through. She mentioned the fraudster had keyed in a few incorrect expiry date but couldn't get it right.

I spent on two Europe sites yesterday for train and bus, I guess that's how my information was leaked..

I'm glad that it is all OK now, UOB will arrange for a new replacement card to be sent to me next week.

I just found out that i also kena this Paypal fraud but I didn't receive any OTP.
Too bad I realised too late. 2 transactions of RM160 already went through.

If it is a higher tier than your existing cards, then you need to submit income documents.

Call? UOB promo booth?

I got PME, want to add EVOL so I guess fits the criteria. I’m too lazy to submit docs… they have my CL and info..

Love MBB for this, so easy to add card.

Just apply online, you still need to submit docs (salslip, IC etc) but don't need to find UOB to do so. Did this when I wanted to add my VI.

Not too sure if call works but submitting online is easy.

Applied for annual fee waiver for my PME, now I can see the AF charge has been reversed. Didn't spend RM50k last year and likely the same for upcoming year. Gotta remind myself to cancel the card around this time next year. ;-)

If u book on trip.com, lagi bagus.
Just change your currency to SG/VN/ID/TH, u get 12 points instead of 5 points.
Just make sure after change to different currency, u still pay the same amount (in RM after convert). whistling.gif

If you purchase ticket from MAS from example, don't change to different currency because they will charge a lot more.

if u pay using foreign currency, how can u pay same amount as rm after convert? UOB will charge extra foreign fees 2%+.
Then you're paying more compare to RM. Foreign bank fees are always higher than local bank

Depend whether u want the lowest price or u want to get more points.

My point is, if u want to maximise your points for RM2,000 ticket. the conversion (into SGD) of trip.com/agoda will cost a lot less compare to MAS website*.

*In MAS website, u also can pay in foreign currency (but totally not worth it).

If MAS offer u cheaper ticket, just buy it (5x points)
If trip.com can get u cheaper ticket, u can pay the ticket in SGD to maximise your points (12x points).

Update:
I just checked my recent booking at klook and paid in SGD, macam didn't get charged extra, but i got 12x points
All my booking at my recent agoda hotels are in Thai or SG currency for maximum points. Before i paid, i checked the rate.

If you book overseas hotel such as Thailand, I think it doesn’t matter you pay in MYR or THB, the difference are just the person who benefit from the conversion is klook (pay in MYR) or CC (pay in THB), because those third parties website already factored in the currency conversion charges at their side. But if pay in THB you get extra point, why not?

But if you book Malaysia hotels or airline but purposely change currency to foreign currency, then you need to calculate whether the extra is worth the points or not. In my opinion, the 7x point difference doesn’t worth it.

ok, I just checked my hotel booking (through agoda in one KL Hotel) with UOB apps.
I paid in SGD, didn't get 'extra' charges. And i got 12x points.

All my bookings in recent days, i paid in SGD/Thai for with Trip.com, Klook and Agoda.
Also, with Agoda Mastercard link, u have extra discount = discount + more points

If u want cheaper price, u don't use Agoda UOB link.
Use Agoda Mastercard link (or Agoda Visa link depend which card u have), u will get cheaper price. I already tried with my JP and KL hotels booking.
