QUOTE(adele123 @ Feb 20 2018, 01:43 PM) added more info on preferred platinum. For those who hates the YOLO 8 swipes per month or 16 swipes per month, preferred platinum is a good replacement since all of us pay those bills online anyway. Looks like this is not a too bad card but unfortunately it has no AF waiver criteria. preferred platinum has a much higher pool of cash back per month RM200k vs YOLO at RM110k. |

QUOTE(adele123 @ Feb 20 2018, 04:42 PM) actually most of their card has no af waiver criteria anyway. you know i know, it is not difficult to waive. At least YOLO has, so no need to argue and beg them. i am not in need of the card as i still have amex quota. 2 person's quota for one household is enough. i have difficulty meeting the min requirement alone for utilities and because of the fcfs, dont like to rely on random dining expenses over the month. which was why, i forgot about this card, someone mentioned the new benefits last month, but min 1000 and fcfs is a no-no for me I only have one AmEx, so gotta save for something better. |

QUOTE(MGM @ Feb 21 2018, 07:35 AM) IIRC, when I appiled for Vox in 2016 it came along with the Prefered Platinum then in 2017 I changed Vox to Yolo. I was charged AF for YOLO last Oct and I called for waiver successfully. But my Prefered Platinum was never charged AF since 2016, I thought it is free for life. Many years ago, I did have Preferred Plat which sent to me without my approval. I cancelled right away. No, it's not free AF. |

QUOTE(putra23 @ Feb 21 2018, 03:06 PM) I transacted online in January before the 5th but did receive cashback. CS says will check and get back in a few days time... Did or did not?Anyone got cash backs for 1-4 January eligible transactions? I'm same like you. I swiped before the new policy took effect and didn't receive any cash back. I thought it's by batch but looks like ours is not credited. |

QUOTE(putra23 @ Feb 21 2018, 03:24 PM) I think others are also affected. Does anybody have any B&W that anything before 4th should follow old policy? Kindly share again. I give them until this Friday probably and if still not credited, I will shoot an email to them and escalate. |

In conclusion, if you spent just exclusively before 5th Jan, you will not get cash back.
If you spent before 5th and combined with minimum swipes after 5th, you will get cash back even for transactions incurred before 5th Jan. Who else in first situation? Looks like we need to complain. Damn it, if I know I will drag some payments to 5th. |

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Feb 22 2018, 09:56 AM) I have email from them, if you have min RM500 from 1-5.1.2018 you should get. This time it will not come, I don't think it will. We will have to complain, however yesterday cybpsych compiled some responses from UOB, there are mixed feedback. Some said entitled, some said not entitled. I made 1 transaction and expect toget RM50 CB by end of this month. i think you are right. QUOTE(MGM @ Feb 22 2018, 09:57 AM) Yes u shoudnt have rushed into it, cos 1st CB always less participation and easy to get. I was trying out some transactions amounting less than rm1 late January and wasn't expecting any CB. I lazy to achieve 16x since supposedly before 5th should use old policy. |

QUOTE(mamamia @ Feb 28 2018, 08:54 PM) Still nothing for me but I already got reply from them. If I understand from the email, it says I should get by today since today is the last day of Feb? "Thank you for your email. In regards to your enquiry, please be informed that the cash back for all eligible spending from 1st to the 5th January 2018 based on the previous terms and conditions will be credited to the credit card statement by the last day of the current month (February 2018). Therefore, we would like suggest you to refer to the next statement for the crediting of the cash rebate." I worry now. |

QUOTE(Cookie101 @ Mar 1 2018, 01:22 PM) Be prepared. Just got a call saying I need 16 trans etc and there is grace period for system set up. I received another email, and now it reads as below:Told them no nonsense. Either I get it or it goes to BNM. Charged for BA only on 2nd Jan. posted 6. Because of posting etc excuses. Waiting their second call now. Told that lady to ring me if there is good news or tell her manager to ring me. I won’t be nice. "Thank you for your reply. We wish to inform that the crediting of the cash back is normally done within the next statement cycle. In this regard, we would appreciate if you could monitor your coming March statement and revert to us if the cash back is not credited accordingly." Well, my statement date is on 12th, I can wait and don't mess with me, or I get BNM in. Add-on: I replied back and quoted this phrase from their T&C: "The monthly Cash Back earned in a calendar month will be credited to the Cardmember’s Card account by the last day of the following month." Let's see what they are going to reply me now. This post has been edited by fruitie: Mar 1 2018, 01:39 PM |
