I am at a lost now... I had a fraud transaction, I received the OTP but I ignored it, did not check the account until the statement reached. And the frustrating part is, seems like somehow they intercepted the OTP so now the transaction is deemed as "valid". UOB rejected my dispute claim. Is there anything else I can do?

Possibly your phone or sim card is compromised. Bank is within their rights if OTP is entered to not layan you at all. I'm not saying you can't continue to press/complain to them, but normally the defense you will have is "I did not know about this" which since you actually did receive the OTP is no longer true.
If you had called the bank on receiving the SMS (or within maybe the same day) then this would have been easier to settle. When you wait till settlement, UOB has already disbursed the funds on your behalf so you're basically asking them to eat the loss because you didn't inform them immediately. A harder sell.

I hope the amount isn't big. I had the same issue (https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/5538179?hl=aurora97).
Fortunately, I noticed the SMS message when I woke up, cheeky bastards, requested OTP and transacted between 2am - 3am.
I think you can still try and appeal your case, if you look at page 4 of the statement, it states the following:
"The entries and balances show above will be considered correct unless you notify UOB ....call center bla bla ... for any discrepencies within 14 days from the statement date."
If they do not look into your case, I suggest escalating to BNM. The details are in the box itself.

Yea I was too confident on the bank lol And then, after I dig a bit, turns out OTP hacking is quite easy and common.
And with our phone numbers flying everywhere, this is not hard at all! And UOB still uses SMS OTP, unlike other banks had moved on to App OTP.

What transaction? How much?
It was a transaction into KiplePay, less than 1k luckily, but still I am very concerned if a bigger amount would happen next time...

Thank you very much, I'll loop them in, basically last resort already.

Nowadays it’s very prevalent. Got a random OTP request at midnight. Called them when I woke up, CS confirmed that nothing went tho, but they still terminated it and replace a new card despite it being an “failed” attempted.

Anyone experienced miscalculation of CB on UOB One Platinum? I had spent RM1,600 before the statement date, and the CB calculated with 0.2% instead of 10%.
All my transactions are eligible and not fall under any exclusion clauses.

I managed to get AF waiver for UOB One card. Called to cancel because I haven’t used the card in at least 2 years. Retention team called and offer RM25 cashback + AF waiver.
I also have UOB PRVI Miles elite that I only use when I’m overseas. AF will be charged next month. Let’s see if they want to waive since I did not meet the 50k spend requirement. Let’s see if they are willing to waive AF for that card as well…

hmmm... the RM 50K spend requirement only kicks in 1 Jan 2026. I think previously, I see a lot of people manage to get waiver but not so sure for year 2026 onwards.
