If u are talking about UOB PRVI Miles Card (VISA Card), ![]() This card don't have lounge access, oversea spending is only 5X UNIRM. If u are talking about UOB PRVI Miles Elite Card (Mastercard), ![]() 1. No more PPL access at KLIA2 (from August). Still can use at KLIA1. 2. Up to 12X UNIRM for oversea spend QUOTE(Sitting Duck @ Jul 30 2025, 06:21 PM) lkwah86 and Sitting Duck liked this post

Yes.
In the future if u want to take out the FD and keep the card, u can apply (with income document) first. Once approved, baru can take out the FD. For UOB, if apply with FD pledge, u also need to pay 0.5% stamp duty. QUOTE(LYNshop @ Jul 31 2025, 04:01 PM) |

I guess if u really spend a lot locally around 150-200k per year, or oversea spending (for example 50k per annum), then it might worth to take Zenith.
Don't forget to take UOB World card for the Bonus 125,000 UNIRM if u hit the spending of 48k per annum. If spend less than 100k per annum, better just save the money. U better just take CIMB World travel (& elite) for better lounge access and 'cheaper' annual fee. QUOTE(zzzhhhzzz @ Aug 6 2025, 08:41 AM) |

That's why Zenith is only for redeem air miles (i am doing the same thing).
Use World for daily use (must hit the annual UNRIM bonus) Either use PME for air ticket, agoda hotel booking and oversea spending. or VI for air ticket, hotel and oversea spending + DragonPass QUOTE(aurora97 @ Aug 6 2025, 05:07 PM) The problems with Zenith Card, if you are planning to use the card for daily spending and accumulate points, this card is pretty bad at that. Rm 1 locally = 1x UNRIM RM 1 spent overseas = 2x UNRIM The current conversion rate is 7400 UNRIM to 1K Miles The miles per ringgit as follows: Local spend - 1 airline mile = RM 7.40 [0.13 MPR] foreign spend - 1 airline mile = RM 3.70 [0.27 MPR] In contrast with PME RM 1 locally = 1x UNRIM RM 1 overseas (except for Sg, th, vn and Idn, which is x12) = 10x UNRIM The current conversion rate is 12000 UNRIM to 1K miles The miles per ringgit as follows: Local spend - 1 airline mile = RM 12 [0.08 MPR] foreign spend - 1 airline mile = RM 1.2 [0.83 MPR] From a MPR standpoint, the Zenith is a complete train wreck. The good thing is you can pool UNIRM points across UOB credit cards but the problem is you end up splitting your minimum spend (starting next year, annual fee is only waivable provided you meet minimum spend criteria). You can use cards that have good point collection like PME for overseas spend, and redeem the air miles using Zenith. Please note AF for Zenith is not waivable and will be charged immediately upon you obtaining the credit card. I was told the Zenith and VI combo is much better (instead I have Zenith, PME and World, didnt get VI also because PPL mainly Asia focused), but I am dying already with the minimum spend requirement for Zenith. In which case, if you spend min RM 240K, you can redeem 250K unirm to offset the AF. So if you chose this path and don't mind paying AF, there are some benefits can soften the blow (look for mastercard priceless experience: https://specials.priceless.com/en-my/cardho...Id=202405290004 ): 1. I recommend the complimentary lunch set for 2 (hotels vary but I highly suggest don't go for 4 seasons Nobu, food is overrated) - these set lunch is about RM 200 per pax, so you get back around RM 400 bah. 2. hotels offer stay 4 nights and get 1 night free deals, quite worth, hotel choices many but read fine print ya. 3. get discount on airlines, example Batik, Eva, Qatar, MAS, firefly 4. had Grab Unlimited for free, 2 months? (now can't find) So yeah, use those benefits/discount enjoyed to offset the annual fee, if you can't meet the min retail spend. |

If u book on trip.com, lagi bagus. Just change your currency to SG/VN/ID/TH, u get 12 points instead of 5 points. Just make sure after change to different currency, u still pay the same amount (in RM after convert). If you purchase ticket from MAS from example, don't change to different currency because they will charge a lot more. QUOTE(silverong @ Oct 8 2025, 07:31 PM) xiaoxiaoshen liked this post

Depend whether u want the lowest price or u want to get more points.
My point is, if u want to maximise your points for RM2,000 ticket. the conversion (into SGD) of trip.com/agoda will cost a lot less compare to MAS website*. *In MAS website, u also can pay in foreign currency (but totally not worth it). If MAS offer u cheaper ticket, just buy it (5x points) If trip.com can get u cheaper ticket, u can pay the ticket in SGD to maximise your points (12x points). Update: I just checked my recent booking at klook and paid in SGD, macam didn't get charged extra, but i got 12x points All my booking at my recent agoda hotels are in Thai or SG currency for maximum points. Before i paid, i checked the rate. QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Oct 8 2025, 10:54 PM) if u pay using foreign currency, how can u pay same amount as rm after convert? UOB will charge extra foreign fees 2%+. This post has been edited by 70U63: Oct 9 2025, 11:20 AMThen you're paying more compare to RM. Foreign bank fees are always higher than local bank |

ok, I just checked my hotel booking (through agoda in one KL Hotel) with UOB apps.
I paid in SGD, didn't get 'extra' charges. And i got 12x points. All my bookings in recent days, i paid in SGD/Thai for with Trip.com, Klook and Agoda. Also, with Agoda Mastercard link, u have extra discount = discount + more points QUOTE(saintprayer @ Oct 9 2025, 02:38 PM) If you book overseas hotel such as Thailand, I think it doesn’t matter you pay in MYR or THB, the difference are just the person who benefit from the conversion is klook (pay in MYR) or CC (pay in THB), because those third parties website already factored in the currency conversion charges at their side. But if pay in THB you get extra point, why not? But if you book Malaysia hotels or airline but purposely change currency to foreign currency, then you need to calculate whether the extra is worth the points or not. In my opinion, the 7x point difference doesn’t worth it. |

If u want cheaper price, u don't use Agoda UOB link.
Use Agoda Mastercard link (or Agoda Visa link depend which card u have), u will get cheaper price. I already tried with my JP and KL hotels booking. QUOTE(silverong @ Oct 9 2025, 07:35 PM) |
