Using the TP-Link C1200? Try "192.168.1.1" instead.

Thanks to the consultation provided by sifus, especially Soonwai here, I am happy to report back that I managed to successfully position my DLink DIR-850L router upstairs and wirelessly connect it to my Unifi TP-Link router located in my living room TV cabinet. I did this by choosing the "wireless bridge extender" option as against the other 2 (Wireless router & wireless AP) options in the Dir-850L router.

I did a speed test upstairs before and after activating the Dir-850L router. When connecting to the original TP-Link router downstairs, I would get about 8 mbps. This leaped up to 20 mbps when I switched to connect to the Dir-850L router. As a reference, my subscribed speed is 30 mbps and I get 28 mbps when seated downstairs connecting to the TP-Link router.

Are u using VDSL or fiber? ZTE H267A is a good modem router except the wireless signal strength, no issue and performing well without reboot for a month.
I bet u don't want the TP-Link provided by TM, especially with C1200. brows.gif

***daisy chain the tplink to the dlink.

From d-link lan port, connect to tplink lan port ****not the wan port!!!!!

Assuming your dlink lan address is 192.168.1.1
Set up tplink lan ip address to 192.168.1.2 manually or something.

Set up dlink dhcp to only give out address from 192.168.1.10 onwards to 192.168.1.255

Setup tplink  to disable dhcp on it. Since your dlink will handle that.

Tplink when set up like that will run as Access point. **your normal wifi setting applies.

dlink wan port connected to the BTU. And the hypptv port 4 still works as per normal.
(you can disable dlink wifi or turn it off so less interference)

Thanks for the reply. But does this work the other way round? Mean that TPlink as my main from BTU. then the DIR-850L from my TPlink. And i will off the DIR-850 wifi ( only use for hyptv purpose). The TPlink will become my main access for internet connection. I notice that if my tplink become the sub from DIR-850L, the ping will become higher. Or can i just replace the DIR-850 to my tplink directly, but im not sure the hypptv will work or not. Sorry for the noob question.

The tplink c5 can work by itself. But I don't know if the dlink is higher grade or not. If it is you actually want to use it as main router

My answer can't get through after third question. doh.gif
Fourth and fifth can't get through either.

For 1st and 2nd questions, if the decoder is able to send the answer back to TM server successfully, it will display "JAWAPAN DITERIMA" at bottom left.
