2.song(jerk)
3.song(jerk)
4.song(jerk)
5.Song (end)

all the song jerk at the end..of each song.2->4.
I try update my codecs..
anyway..just mp3..no vids.

Added on May 28, 2007, 2:03 pmjust found out tht vista is wrapping all the audio driver n run it on OS...which mean Microsoft removal the hardware audio abstraction layer for Vista

1st, since there is a hardware sound card processing, why the hell bother the CPU to process? I personally think this is not a wise choice.

2nd Does it mean the MS trying to monopoly the sound card market too?

about the problem i encounter...i need to turn of my sound card enhanced features...at control panel>sound props

QUOTE
Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) is an initiative unveiled in 2002 by Microsoft to standardize the hardware and class driver architecture for audio devices in modern Microsoft Windows operating systems. Three classes of audio devices are supported by default: USB, IEEE 1394 (Firewire), and Intel High Definition Audio, which supports PCI and PCI Express.
Starting with Windows Vista, Microsoft requires all computer and audio device manufacturers to support Universal Audio Architecture in order to pass Windows Logo.
The goal of the Universal Audio Architecture is to solve a very common problem in modern Microsoft Windows products, that of inconsistent support for audio. Due to the lack of a common system by which audio devices could describe their capabilities to the operating system, not to mention a lack of ability to control those capabilities, audio device manufacturers (such as Creative Labs, Realtek, Turtle Beach and others) have had to provide a series of control panels and custom interfaces to let a user control the device. This, in turn, requires kernel-mode drivers so that the user's actions can be communicated to the hardware itself. Poorly-written audio drivers have been a common source of system instability in Windows, especially with games that make use of extended audio card capabilities. These concerns prompted Microsoft to disable the audio stack entirely by default in Windows Server 2003.

UAA seeks to resolve this by putting forth a standardized interface which audio devices can follow, ensuring that the device's capabilities will be recognized and used effectively by Windows, without the need for additional drivers or custom control panels. It also provides a reasonable assurance that an audio device will still be able to work many years down the road, without requiring vendor-supplied drivers for a newer version of Windows.

Another goal of UAA is to provide better support for multi-channel audio in Windows so that, for example, multi-channel WMA Pro audio streams can be played without special driver support.

UAA is intended to be a complete replacement for developing WDM Audio Drivers; however, in some cases it may be necessary for an otherwise UAA-compliant audio device to expose capabilities that cannot be done through UAA. Windows will continue to fully support audio drivers that use the PortCls and AVStream drivers.[1]
Try downloading an updated version of your sound driver. maybe that will help

Had you guys try out the DreamScene from Windows Ultimate Extra already? If not, GO TRY IT NOW !!!!!!

I jsut installed this morning via Windows Update and I never bother open it. Jsut now I am quite bore and I try on it, OH MY GOD IT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL !!!!!

It's like full motion dekstop background in movie format. UNlike the old one we have in XP which is like fram by frame and eat out lots of CPU power. This one Microsoft claims that new technology will allow much better quality (YES IT'S) animated background WITHOUT consuming too much CPU resource. YAY now my background is a little waterfall, so beeeeeeaaaaaaatufuuuuuuuul !!!!! rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

wow......
So much agenda behind the sound card..
but so far i havent encounter any problem with sound card..for game too

creative still insist using their own driver instead of Vista
no reason to buy creative if cannnot use the feature and need to follow vista standard.

no need to update the driver... all u need to do is to turn off the hardware enhanced features."disable all..." need to allow the vista to use their driver only.(my case atleast)

for the creative user u can snatch the vista driver by using creative ALchemy software.
this software will allow the driver rights given back to creative's.

MS own the world.... rclxms.gif rclxub.gif notworthy.gif

Actually... when Vista detects you need the processing power, it stops your DS automatically. It also turns off when you maxmize any windows.

You can see it if you open the CPU Meter. When you open DS, your CPU usage shoots up but when you max a window, your CPU usage will go back down.

Aiks Pheonix I told you in C&C3 thread edi lor. But DS will automatically get paused if I do anything full screen. And also when I unplug my power (Can resume it back anyway).

Anyway Pheonix I'm using hp lappy, DV9205tx. The spec is Duo Core T7200 2.0Ghz, 2Gb rams and G-Card is Go7600. (aiks.... the G-card not the top model one...)

Added on May 30, 2007, 12:28 pmSuddenly got an weird idea about DS... ...lemme see if can put movie on it or not... ... hm... ...
