QUOTE(oldfox @ May 29 2007, 01:50 AM) without consuming too much CPU resource =.=.....i tried and i like it, but to me still consume many CPU resource....so when i get bored, i will only change to DS and u also cannot download other DC as well ^^, or you do yourself... he he Actually... when Vista detects you need the processing power, it stops your DS automatically. It also turns off when you maxmize any windows. |

Nope... I can use both 32 and 64 bit on my machine (i.e. legally - checked with the Microsoft Call Center). As for Autocad, never tried but last i heard... it does not work
Added on May 30, 2007, 1:29 am QUOTE(oldfox @ May 30 2007, 02:20 AM) Is it... i dunno oh...bcs that time i need processing power, i also cannot see my wallpaper, so i dunno wat it will happen... ha ha You can see it if you open the CPU Meter. When you open DS, your CPU usage shoots up but when you max a window, your CPU usage will go back down. This post has been edited by KingdomChaser: May 30 2007, 01:29 AM |

WINDOWS VISTA GADGETS - do you know there are loads of really cool gadgets for Vista... I'm not referring to the defaults cause those suck. Go to Vista Gadget page to download them.
To list a few fun ones: Vodoo Doll, Calvin and Hobbes, Dilbert, Garfield, Jewel, etc. |

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ May 31 2007, 12:29 PM) Those are not close to being cool. 3rd party Gadgets that are not realeased on the live galleries are the best Linkin... where can i get to this Desktop Customization section? I've tried searching through the Software section but gave up.There is already a thread on the Desktop Customisation section. |

QUOTE(Phoenixwunin @ Jun 1 2007, 06:28 PM) em.. did DreamScene really pause while gaming?? Again... it really depends on your rig config. However, looking at your rig config, it seems OK. Maybe increasing your ram to 2 GB would help increase your performance by leaps and bounds > while you're at it, why not even try 4 GB I try and notice that when DreamScene is set as my wallie... my CnC3 has a very noticeable lag... |

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Jun 3 2007, 06:30 PM) v7.8.5.0 or later should support Vista The referred file has been taken down lar... any other options (aside from buying the ultimately expensive version) - of course if it's not legal, dun tell me. I'm using the same PC for work.Anyway, managed to *make* my Windows Vista Home Premium to support dreamscene, don't ask me how, go google ![]() Added on June 6, 2007, 7:05 pm QUOTE(TechnoDude94 @ Jun 6 2007, 07:50 PM) Hey CKC_1, Windows Vista does support up to 4GB and above on the 64-Bit one. But I think you are using the 32-Bit version of Vista. Therefore, Vista is reading it as only 3.5GB which is the maximum Vista 32-Bit supports (correct me if I am wrong). As per my experience using Vista ever since it launched, shadow copies don't ussually take up so much space - UNLESS... he has Office Outlook and for whatever reason, backed up his .pst files - which could rack up to multiple GB. Added on June 6, 2007, 6:59 pmHey ongoky, I don't think he has a previous version of Windows or any other OS installed because he said that he managed to save 30GB. So it means that it was the shadow copies. And I thought you can change the percentage of HDD space a shadow copy consumes. How do you go about changing the % of HDD for shadow copy? I just turned mine off. This post has been edited by KingdomChaser: Jun 6 2007, 07:05 PM |

Well... depends on your need. If you are using aps that require high graphic rendering, then by all means, get a 8800. Also... 1GB is good but I just came back from Low Yat... 1 GB ram is just RM 115! So might was well get 2GB.
