QUOTE(TechnoDude94 @ Jun 3 2007, 03:51 PM) Someone please help me. I am using Windows Vista Ultimate Retail Full 32-Bit Version. I got all the drivers installed such as the video and sound driver. Then I downloaded Halo Trial from Microsoft. When I installed it and tried to play it there is sound but the sound is cracking (there are skips in between each sound), its like my computer is lagging but it's not. I downloaded the latest drivers from ASUS also because I am using the sound card that is intergrated with the motherboard. My motherboard is P4P800 and the sound driver is Soundmax Audio Driver. I tried installinh the game on the same PC but on Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 with all the same hardware configuration and it works perfectly with perfect soung. Please note: I have multiple O/S on one system. Thanks in advance. u need to close your sound hardware enhancement. i think tht will do.. ASUS driver wont a thang the reason u having this problem is tht the VISTA is forcing everyone to follow their "so call AUDIO standard"...the VISTA is not using your SoundMAX Audio Driver.VISTA is using their own. so dont even bother to update your driver. go to sound props then turn off your hardware sound enhancement...cheers! welcome to best buggy vista. Added on June 4, 2007, 11:22 amjust bcoz wanna change os?..kinda expensive thing to waste for. You are dead wrong. I updated my Audio driver and Vista used the SoundMax Driver instead of the default audio driver. As of with all the Windows before it, it will chose to use the best and latest driver, and the SoundMax driver IS certified Vista ready. Go research first before misinforming ppl

The Audio Standard are basically the extention of the AC'97. thus it's developed by Intel, and not Microsoft. Microsoft only added Firewire and USB 2.0 default support to that standard

Guys I got a question. When I install a game right, sometimes it will automatically be brought into the "Game" session but sometimes not. If not, what should I do to bring it in? (Nothing important but I love to see all my games's icon there)
Example I install some old game like Legacy Of Kain Defiance which is not a title of Games for Windows, and the icon and information appears in it. But when I install Stalker, it never appear into the "Game" folder. Copy the shortcut into it doesn't do .... any idea?

QUOTE(Humping^Panda @ Jun 4 2007, 11:13 AM) just bcoz wanna change os?..kinda expensive thing to waste for. Hm?? Not really... I would rather consider it as an investment for Core 2 Duo. At any rate I'm getting 8800GTS anyway and as you can see from my signature... using a 8800GTS on that kind of setup isn't... that good. The bottleneck thingy and everything... so I didn't see it as a waste of money as I do enjoy the rig even on XP (yeah.. S.T.A.L.K.E.R and F.E.A.R. on its highest setting do sound delicious to me)
