Guys, do you all notice something, a top end computer running with Vista is not as fast as I expect, atleast the respond time is a bit, erm... like normal comp with windows only..... My spec is duo core t7200, 2.0 Ghz and 2 GB of ddr2 rams. 320 Gb hdd. It's a brand new laptop and looks like when I swtich on the laptop it still took atleas 1 min fully startup (Unlike win XP with 1Gb or ram, duo core 1.8Ghz took around 30 second)

Anyway Now the main problem is my OS is Vista Ultimate 64 bit version, which causing me a big problem while play game....lots of them can't install or play....

Yeah, However beside games, all other older application are runs fine on Vista as long as they it runs on XP. Perhaps it's the direct X issue on it.

aiks i suppose "64" is twice than "32"

Anyway the vista ultimate i have is come together with laptop, so no idea if I re format the whol ething wll do or not.

AH ya guys, how do I see the defragment details on vista, just like XP ?

GUys where can I download the asia language pack for vista ultimate? I can't find it in microsoft's website and looks like my windows update can't find it. (only keep on download minor udpates)

Guys I just wanna ask, when we do defragment on vista right, how do we see the progress, or atleast the progress bar for it just like WinXP ? This vista's defragement can't see anything one...

Hey guys jsut wanna ask, Win Vista ultimate itself come with the Cd burning function, so I can use my lappy to burn CD without install any third party software like nero. But the thing is, is it good enough? SO far I only use it to burn some small small size CD which is less than 100MB. But I wonder if that can handle some DVD burning? (Mine drive is DVD burner as well)? I shall I use some 3rd party software like nero for much better performance?

I jsut installed this morning via Windows Update and I never bother open it. Jsut now I am quite bore and I try on it, OH MY GOD IT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL !!!!!

It's like full motion dekstop background in movie format. UNlike the old one we have in XP which is like fram by frame and eat out lots of CPU power. This one Microsoft claims that new technology will allow much better quality (YES IT'S) animated background WITHOUT consuming too much CPU resource. YAY now my background is a little waterfall, so beeeeeeaaaaaaatufuuuuuuuul !!!!!

Well so faronly those default one from microsoft are nice. Those .dream file i downloaded are jstu like some static pic with little water wave on it only... ...

Anyway now i notice something... ...after start using this so call "beeeuuuutifuuuuul dream scene, my G-card stop respond 2 times yesterday. I doubt if it's due to this... ... (But it no problems when I thrun dream scene on and play Oblivion...)

shit the G-card nto responding jsut happen again. I really wonder if this is cause by dreamscene... (but oddly why it never happen when i play some heavy graphic game!?)

Aiks Pheonix I told you in C&C3 thread edi lor. But DS will automatically get paused if I do anything full screen. And also when I unplug my power (Can resume it back anyway).

Anyway Pheonix I'm using hp lappy, DV9205tx. The spec is Duo Core T7200 2.0Ghz, 2Gb rams and G-Card is Go7600. (aiks.... the G-card not the top model one...)

But I think it automatically stop lar, I have no issue playing any heavy 3D games with DC on. And what I notice is, when I open up something full screen. Since Vista's effect is like 3D and will show the windows being extended to entire screen, I can cearly see the DC getting paused at behind.

I can see your have a good rig for vista, enough ram and strong G-card. Is that anything wrong with the vista you install?

Guys I got a question. When I install a game right, sometimes it will automatically be brought into the "Game" session but sometimes not. If not, what should I do to bring it in? (Nothing important but I love to see all my games's icon there)

Example I install some old game like Legacy Of Kain Defiance which is not a title of Games for Windows, and the icon and information appears in it. But when I install Stalker, it never appear into the "Game" folder. Copy the shortcut into it doesn't do .... any idea?
