vista need defrag......??????

most probably is your temporary files..run disk cleanup from accessories > system tools

see what u can delete lo..

i think is because vista create indexing file that will increase perfomance. so it will take some space to create the index file

don't defrag. It defrags automatically when you're using it. Manual defrag is making it slower, and index file in my system is less than 100 MB for 600++gb of HDD space, so indexing is not an issue. more of TEMP files

depends, for some of us, Vista is definately a better one. Heck, reverting to XP for me is like going back to the dark ages

What do you mean neither OEM nor Retail? If you buy Vista, it has to be one of these editions (MSDN, Academic, Technical Previews, etc. have licences resembling OEM copies).
Anyway, to answer your query, you won't be ask to reactivate if the reinstallation is performed on the same motherboard and hard disk (even when reformatted). Vista ties your activation key to your motherboard's BIOS ID or something if I remember. I have tested this too and it is indeed true that a motherboard/BIOS switch will result in you having to reactivate your copy again.

Reactivation is easy. Just call up the 24 hour toll free number based in India and give them the activation ID. They will reissue you a new one. It is entirely confidential.

well activation is manual or auto depending on when u reinstall when the asked u to insert the cd key.. there is a tick there saying auto activation upon connection right...
if u unclick that then u have to activate ureself.

i just got vista home premium and it works ok up to this time
but i tried to install illustrator cs2 and photoshop cs2 chap lanun cannot ler

have to wait for cs3 i guess

vista will only use up to 3GB of ram. the 1GB i'm not sure for wat.

search for ram used by Vista..

btw, wanna see whether ur gc ok 2 run aero..jz type winsat aurora..

when u see the animation n its fluid..ur gc can run minimal aero..

hi everybody...i allready upgrade my ram to 512 x 2 ddr2 667 mhz...quite smooth right now...but not so smooth...next upgrade 7600gt...is my Proc enough for vista?..

what can i said?..after long hours of waiting i didnt notice much difference...

i heard tht when we install genuine vista but install "ahem" software/games,vista will block it every 1 hour.every 1 hour will b pop up "VISTA"(or something like tht)u need to reinstall back the vista only can solve the problem.is it true???

Im using Flashget @ IDM..( Internet Download Manager ) to download stuffs...

I tried many times to reload the pages...suddenly it cannot be loaded one.

so frustrated..after restarting ..then it backs to normal?

Can we buy OEM Vista?? I'm quite blur about this OEM thingy... so I figure if can... I might as well get an OEM Vista Ultimate rather than retail Home Premium.
