QUOTE(elea88 @ Oct 25 2018, 08:24 PM) https://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/artic...emailblast.html Since nobody answered, I will take a stab at your question. However, I must warn that I am just a novice. Hopefully, other sifus can correct me if I am wrong. anyone interested in this? whats the pro and cons... ? Pro's No annual management fee (vs. bond funds' 1% typical). Assuming no default, full refund of capital on call date Availability of high-yield / unrated bond (vs. local bond funds' typical better than BBB rated, but lower yield ) Con's One-time 0.5% processing fee (vs. 0% sales charge for bond funds on FSM) Concentration risk You'll need to judge the bond's creditworthiness / default risk High minimum amount (>=RM10k for Bond Express) Two problems specific to this EcoWorld bond are: No step-up coupon if the issuer doesn't redeem on the call date No guarantor ( This post has been edited by biastee: Nov 3 2018, 08:11 PM |

there is also bond to consider.
Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad KNKIB 6.400% 18Sep2028 Corp (MYR) i think property bond is a bit risky .... compare to investment bank if you want lesser risk, there is also another nice one. CIMB Group Holdings Bhd CIMBMK 5.800% Perpetual Corp (MYR) This post has been edited by john123x: Nov 4 2018, 10:36 PM |

My port is at -8% consist of:-
ManuIndia-13% Ponzi 2-37% TAtech-15% Eastspring gem -35% Fully redeem Kenanga Bond Fund after my son was born this year and move them to AS1M (ADAM50) and also SSPN for tax relief. 10 years ago I don't even save/invest. Well, I've never been through a bear market but so far so good. Main goal now is to keep getting more active income from different sources and honestly I'm still novice in investing. |
