With the announcement on the newly approved and suspended unit trusts under the EPF-MIS for 2017/18, EPF members:

1. Can invest in the newly approved unit trusts under the EPF-MIS starting from 1 March 2017 onwards
2. Are not allowed to invest or switch into suspended unit trusts starting from 1 March 2017 onwards
3. Who have bought into the suspended unit trusts prior to the suspension can continue to keep their monies in those unit trusts

Interesting choice from FSM. This is one fund that I have love hate relationship with. The volatility is higher than most asia pac EQ funds. Everytime it's down I'd vow to sell it, after I sell some it would go back up. At the moment my IRR is 8.6 %; held for almost 4 years. Bought this fund same time as RHB Asian Income Fund; much prefer AIF's stability; and my IRR for AIF is 10.4%
*
I also put some in RHB AIF as suggested by bro Xuzen. can sleep well every night. tongue.gif

hmm.gif maybe it is because of this....?? laugh.gif
Trump in his address to a joint session of Congress offered little detail about planned tax cuts or new infrastructure spending beyond the broad strokes he offered during the election campaign.

Trump's big speech:
President Trump delivered his first speech to Congress on Tuesday, striking a more statesman-like tone.
Still, there was little detail on policy.
"A politically interesting, but economically dull speech," said Kathleen Brooks, research director at City Index Direct.

"He offered just enough to keep bulls happy," Accendo Markets analysts wrote in a note to clients.

Fully agree with the analyst. Trump was just farting. A lot of gases.

But people just like to hear those things.

my portfolio's IRR is now at 4.5% ....I thought I never get to see that....

hi, Trump......if you hear me...keep those gases coming....... thumbup.gif
just control yourselves......keep those nasty and slimy end products that usually come after those gases in your pants. brows.gif

Outlook bleak for ringgit, say analysts
http://www.msn.com/en-my/money/topstories/...ocid=spartanntp

maybe that is one of the reasons FSM is promoting this....
Asia Pacific Equity Income [March 2017]
https://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/resea...arch-2017--8056

to reduce M'sia's allocation and increase allocation outside of it AGAIN??

Cut off time: 7.45am (2 Mar 2017)

US: US equities cheered on a stronger note after Trump's speech as investors focused on the positive tone of his message instead of the details in the economic plans.

Asia: Investors digested Trump’s speech on a positive note and most of the Asian key indices advanced for the day.

Bursa Malaysia: After the FBM KLCI ended lower for four days consecutively, the key index managed to rebound higher by 0.23% to 1,697.69 pts, but still being faced resistance along the 1,700 level as profit taking activities emerged near that psychological level.

Outlook: Without any negative surprises in Trump’s speech, we expect short term buying interest to prevail. As the Dow is on an uptrend intact formation, buying momentum may sustain over the near term with the trailing support anchored around 20,776. Meanwhile, the FBM KLCI is likely to follow suit on a strong buying tone and the key index may surpass 1,700 to revisit 1,730.

if not mistaken, you can choose to put it back in your CMF or cheque back into your bank account you registered with them.

Where got so many variables?

Only need to know the following parameters only, that is:

Return of Investment (1),

Standard Deviation of Mean (2),

Correlation Coefficient ratio (3),

Forward Price earning ratio of benchmark (4),

Four variables only .... mah!

Xuzen
*
Dear sifu xuzen,

Can I ask how to get these 4 variables? And how to use it to choose funds?

only number (1) I know which I can get from fact sheets.

And how about volatility and R/R ratio (is it same with sharpe ratio)? Would normally we use these 2 instead for choosing funds?

And 1 more question. What is IRR and how to calculate it?

Really noob question...
