Normal for restricted airflow case.

My friend also have a Nexus M, can use more fan on exhaust to improve the airflow inside? He's on Ryzen 1600 + 1060.

hey guys just upgraded from ryzen 3 1200 to ryzen 7 3700x
the temp reach 88c according to hwinfo64 while gaming with negative offset 0.050v, is this normal?

this is my spec:
Case: Tecware Nexus M
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x (ID Cooling SE-244-XT)
Mobo: Asrock B450M Pro4 (B3.60 Agesa 1.0.0.3)
Ram: Kingston HyperX DDR4 2666Mhz (Oc'ed to 2933Mhz 1.25v)
GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 580 (70c while gaming underclock and undervolt) 80c if not
PSU: Super Flower Silver Eco 600W
*
its fine the temp.. to confirm if its your case issue.. just open the side panel.. see how much drop.. if just drop 2-3C means its not case issue.. its your cpu cooler

if drop more than 5C.. then just add INTAKE FAN to your case ; make sure your case has +ve airflow... (not -ve)

little did they not known that agesa contents are totally hidden from manufacturers so technically aib doesnt matter much for amd apart from component quality. And when a version screws up, all brands will face the same issue.

It can help, but front still limits the air from flowing in. The biggest difference I observe is when front fans not restricted. I'm not using Nexus M, but the case also same, cover the front and let air in from side vent.

Does old AM2/AM3 coolers using the clip mechanism still fit with AM4? Going to piece together a new Ryzen build for testing + BIOS updates soon, but would rather not move my NH-C14S from my existing rig to test. Don't have a spare Wraith cooler at the moment, although I did dig up an old Sunbeamtech Core Contact Freezer from years and years ago in an old box. I'm wondering if it can still fit.

A big thanks for your recommendation. Got my Klevv ram. I bought the RGB version; KLEVV Cras XR RGB. DJR chip also. Managed to run at 3733mhz CL16 at 1.4v. 1 to 1. For some reason, my processor cant stable at 1900 IF.

Try pumping your SOC to around 1100 to 1150 mV. Add CCD and IOD to around 1050 to 1150 to the mix if still not stable.

Gaming Freak case. Cheap and cheerful brand. I'm also using few of their products.
Front full mesh, bottom also have mesh. Between case and mobo is good for cable management.

that's nice but i prefer mATX case since my pc space is quite small. now with open side panel my cpu temp only reach 73c max. still waiting for my fans.

Oh? I thought I am the only one who encountered same issue.
My 5950x IF also can't boot at 1900mhz. Need to reset the bios.
However, it is able to run at 1866Mhz just fine. Which mean DDR4 running at 3733Mhz.
But I set my timing at CL18.

I tried your advise to pump more voltage to CCD, IOD and VSOC too. But even pumping these 3 with 1.15v, 1.15v and 1.20v respectively, still can't boot with IF 1900 nor 2000.

However, IF 1866 can run just fine without those voltage modification.

Perhaps irangan also fully use 4 DIMM similar to me?

When I uncoupled the IF with Mclk, I can run my 4 DIMM at 4200Mhz with 1.35V and no modification to CCD,IOD and VSOC voltage.

Need AGESA 1.1.9.0 for more "stable" fabric oc. Wait for new BIOS.

Sigh, Stasio did "provided" 1.2.0.0 beta bios at tweaktown forum yesterday.
I missed the "wrong" beta bios.

Getting rather irritated with Gigabyte. After more than 10 months, the UI lag with CSM off is still there. Already complained.

And the extremely slow boot up.
For unknown reason, if the CSM is enabled, my Crucial P5 NVME boots into windows immediately right after I entered the Veracrypt password with 10 PIM. (2 seconds)
The WIN10 OS is on the Crucial P5 installed up and ready with GPT UEFI boot in anticipation of Resizeable Bar.
But, if I disable CSM due to Resizeable Bar being UEFI only, the boot time is 30 seconds black screen, then it starts booting into Windows at normal turbo speed.

Yeah, I used Asus C7H before. Not even a hint of lag. Clearly Gigabyte issue.

Indeed, I took out the Crucial P5 and plugged it into my 5600X on B550 Tomahawk full UEFI (CSM disabled) and it boots into windows 10 blue logo in 2 seconds after I entered the password.

But gigabyte tech supports said, "No problem with their UEFI BIOS and blamed it on Veracrypt and user" doh.gif
Duh, non encrypted disk also has the same problem. bangwall.gif
