am wondering whether i can use ID cooling mounting instead.. since I already have it..

I think you're having a tough time because of the tube's rigidity.
if your current mounting requires too much pressure for the pump to fixate onto the bracket
then try flexing the pump the other way, experiment it around, see which method requires less pressure

and I'd rather not mess with using a different bracket, just use the tape.

I'm using artic p12 fans for my case fans and I'm very happy so far.

I wouldn't go near arctic freezer aio tho after watching YouTube videos ppl struggle to mount onto mobo. xD

Yeah, with price hike from Arctic 360. Not recommended. EK AIO 360 back in stock. Get that or Lian Li Galahad 360 instead.

If I do go for aio, with my budget more like ID or Deepcool. rclxm9.gif

Maybe the newer revision changed the mounting and I'm being paranoid for nothing. So far from what I've seen the performance is no issue.

I am on Lian Li Galahad. GN video breakdown influenced my decision. I actually requested X73 initially. I may look to A12 25 chromax black to change fans once thats released. I prefer dead silent

yeap, there's a revision 3 for easier mounting. It's printed on the box rev. 3
just have to clarify with seller before buying

thanks for the input, still trying to learn.
an all core 5.2ghz cpu during normal usage peaks around 200w in cpu power draw.

the 12v rail is supplying up to 600w
assuming you have a pretty good GPU too eh?

Good PSU will last. You can use it for a long time on your upgrade cycles. Not to mention, plenty of room for diminishing returns on efficiency every year.

It still is and will always be. But by the time a cap runs out, it'll be time to replace the PSU anyways.

Given that you're running pretty high v's, you should pump up the uncore to 4.9 for fps gains.

do the old school way. silicon double sided tape to the back plate and stick it to the back of the mobo.

It comes off super easy without residue and is super thermal resistant.

user posted image

Oh.. it's also an insulating material for electricity too, so another added protection.

capacitor aging is not a thing on solid caps so components that are almost entirely solid caps nowadays dont have degradation issue like mobo and gpu. Sadly the big caps in PSU are electrolytic so they will age.

For so many years the good PSU going to be used, the tiny tiny money saved each month accumulated to offset the cost of using it
