Currently I am holding;

Maybank - M2Plat, FCB
Public Bank - Quantum Master and Visa
Standard and Chartered Bank - JustOne and LCB

Mostly Cashback credit card. Now I am looking for another bank credit card.

Any recommendations?

I look for the benefit card. Maybe have CB/Promotions?

Need recommendations.

Hi everyone,

1. Annual Income: RM180K above

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: No

3. Card required for: List all your needs. Cash Back/Rebate Only

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Maybank Visa Infinite

5. Interested in CC from: Anyone, so long better service than Maybank Infinite

6. Others: Basically i am looking at credit card first and then will also migrate my loans from Maybank (refinance)
Maybank in general does not value me as customer. I have been a excellent paymaster for CC and loans. My grouse is that until today I have not received any souvenir or gift despite having this card with them for 5+ years and having Private banking account with them and also high amount of mortgage with them.

UOB YOLO, MAYBANK FCB. Citibank CB is a great card, maybe you should try again after 6 months.

Hi all, anyone did a comparison before between standard chartered worldmiles card vs Maybank 2 cards premier?

Not familiar with scb points conversion. The unlimited lounge is a nice benefit over Maybank 5 time lounge pass

Hello everyone.
Checking is there any card that has higher cashback than HLB Essential which only gives 0.4% cashback. Am looking for Essential credit card replacement for NON-Grocery, petrol, online, dining category items.

Currently i have Maybank Amex and Barcelona card but Amex 5% is only on weekend (with RM50 cap) while Barcelona 2% also RM50 cap.

Thank you

M2 Amex gives you 5x Treatpoints equivalent to 1% on Mon-Fri, you still use HLB Essential for 0.4% only?

But if you spend >RM500/monthly on Groceries, Dining and Petrol, you can ADD HLB Wise Visa (since HLB already grant you a credit limit), though AF of RM98 (not waivable) but 1% (weekday) / 8% (weekend) on Petrol, Dining and Groceries.

Forget the credit cards as you need to pay +0.8%.
Almost all the credit cards are now not giving rebate/reward to Government related transactions!

Thank you for the advice. I have M2 AMEX but not many merchants accept AMEX. I have HLB Visa & PB cashback cards and have been consistently spending >500 for the categories.

Therefore on every other day, I do not have other options but using 0.4% Essential. Anyway, I only use Essential for occasional big purchase that doesn't accept AMEX.

Small purchases i use Barcelona 2%.

Standard Chartered Bank's JustOne Platinum (RM2,500 spending) and Liverpool FC (RM2,000 spending). For JustOne Platinum, need to spend RM200 under petrol/auto debit to maximize cash back.

i know this is old but no one replied you. if you entitled for Private, you should pester your private banking banker, the one who is supposed to be servicing you. Btw in the forum, most think Maybank 2 Premier (VI + Amex reserve) gives you best bank for the buck because of the airmiles conversion rate. having say that, covid19 has made that rather unappealing at the moment.

If you want best cash back card, i will still recommend Maybank for the Maybank2 Card Amex AND barcelona (I force my partner hold all these good MBB card including the M2 Premier). If you spend a lot on grocery, Maybank Visa Signature. i do feel myself recommending maybank within my circle and in the forum. just too good to miss out. Maybe just lousy customer service from PB but good credit cards across the board though.

Other cash back card: Public Bank Visa Signature, SCB - Just One Platinum and Liverpool.

Maybank Visa Signature - 5% petrol, grocery

PB visa signature. PB quantum visa if you plan and estimate can wave most of the expenses. Also got capping.

Maybank 2 Card Amex, Barcelona, maybe Maybank Visa Signature, seems to have met the min requirement.

Barcelona is the one look nicer. i dont think it's metal.
