Hello Tuan2 d Puan2,

1. Annual Income: Varies due to FOREX - roughly RM100k annually

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: free if possible. Average yearly spending maybe RM30-40k

3. Card required for: Air Tickets RM2k monthly in IDR, petrol about RM200/month, Grocery + Online Shopping about RM200-500/month. 2x per month minimum in airport, so 5x airport lounge no point.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Maybank2Card Gold

5. Interested in CC from: NO PBB, Stand Chart, UOB (either too lame or change rules too fast)

6. Others: basically want to upgrade from the current gold cards

Sekian,
TK!

1. Annual Income: RM96k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferred or somewhat cashback can cover it

3. Card required for: Cashback. Mainly for petrol, utilities and insurance. Sometimes for groceries, dining, online shopping, etc.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): NIL

5. Interested in CC from: Any

6.Others: Just came back to Malaysia and worked for ~6 months.
Applied for CIMB cash rebate but got rejected.
Currently waiting for decision for Maybank Barcelona but it is already 1 month so am looking for another card in case rejected again.

I am also thinking about HLB wise card, as I have financial records in HLB, which probably make it easier to get my first cc in Malaysia.
What do you think about this card?

Or, should I just apply a basic card without annual fee or essential card with conditional waive to secure a cc to build credit record first?

Btw, does the retails transaction in HLB includes patrol, utilities, internet, etc?
The definition of retail transaction in their website is so vague or the above mentioned are not listed in either include or exclude...

Yeah, there are not many higher end cashback cards in Malaysia... unless you count AEON Platinum (5% cash back at AEON or AEON Big, free access to PPL too) etc.

The AEON platinum or this card, can I use it to allow other people to enter the plaza for free?

I believe most (unless the super premium >150k per annum) CC that offers PPL access DO NOT allow other people to enter for free even supplimentary card also cant access for free (for some), only the principal cardmembers can enter. Lol.

I means if I got 2 cards with such privileges, can I utilise it on another person?

Or they only allow the person with the name on the card to enter?

Usually only the principal cardholder can access for free, but you can call CS for more accurate answer.

Just received my HSBC credit card, can anyone advise me on the follow question?

1. If I use my card online to buy something, how fast will it be reflected in my statement

2. Can I pay off immediately using my maybank account?

3. How is the process of paying off the loan be? I just transfer to my HSBC cc account?

Thanks!
