anyone can recommend a card best for overseas spending in terms of low conversion fee, and best reward points, and without annual fee.

the amex for Maybank 2C is good but if not mistaken their FX fee is higher, correct me if I'm wrong.

Annual Income: RM80k

Thanks

Use debit card for overseas transactions. It is cheaper.

Yup, 5% CB with PBB Quantum MC on Online or e- Commence  transaction. nod.gif
PBB 2 Quantum Doesn't have CB on Petrol, Your may Consider other Card for Petrol... sweat.gif

PETROL - MBB Ikhwan Visa/ Mastercard, CIMB CR Mastercard, MBB 2Cards, UOB One, Citi CB Card, MBB Visa Signature.
*
For PB, you can get Petron Visa for Petrol, together with Quantum cards.

It's card looks like this: Petronas Maybank Visa, so I don't think it's Ikhwan. Where can I read more about cc application quota? Tried to google but didn't find anything.
I meant, cards that I can just pay using the M2U website.
Would an EPF statement suffice?
Yes, I currently hold these Maybank credit cards.
*
Then request your credit limit cut by RM2000 to Maybank Islamic and get Ikhwan Visa and MasterCard, provided you don't have any other credit cards from other banks (only Maybank Conventional, now apply for 2nd bank - Maybank Islamic)

Wow, thank you for telling me about the PBB Quantum 2 Cards. Especially the MC one.

I do online transactions a lot. Rarely petrol & groceries.

Say I have RM1600 bill.
I can split it, pay RM1k using MBB Amex to get max rm50 cashback.
Then RM600 use PBB Quantum MC to get max RM30 cashback.

Is that how it goes?

Can I register the PBB card on M2U, and pay the statement bill there? Any charges?
*
You did mention your income is less than RM36k, so you don't qualify for PB Quantum and Maybank FC Barcelona Visa at this moment.
and you are now subject to Bank Negara's rule, max 2 credit card issuers including Maybank (existing).
So plan it properly and work harder to improve your income for 2017 and submit a nice Borong BE/B in April/June 2018. Report your income > RM48k, then you have a lot of choices. brows.gif

Haha. I applied online thru maybank2u. Uploaded my ic and latest payslip showing 4.1k salary include ot & allowance.

40 minutes later received email my application is unsuccessful / rejected. Pity me.

Then i checked my ctos report. Got 580 for ctos score. Got a car loan and ptptn loan. Always paid on time. All 0. But maybe i just worked for 9 months la. This is my 1st job.

Feel frustrated my application was rejected after 40minutes of application. Malu weh. So sad

Any other bank / credit card that is so easy to apply like maybank2u? Just fill in the application online, submit document, 40minutes later received the status.

I dont really like to receive call from agent or go to the counter / booth  or apply manually. I want to apply online for the ease at my finger.
*
M2U card application is not perfect and sometime technical glitch happens. You can go to card centre to apply and the humans can rectify the errors by the Artificial Intelligence. We have similar experience reporting in Maybank CC Thread.

Can re-apply again at the card centre? I mean, no need to wait after 6 months?

Thanks.

Any other banks offer fully online application like maybank2u??
*
My CTOS score >800 but I was rejected by the stupid M2U AI. I emailed the application form to Maybank Card Centre and then they approved & increased my credit limit.
Your application may not reach humans & may have gone disappeared. So apply by email or via Card Centre at 1U/MV.

You can try using CIMB online banking. For Public Bank, you need to send by email.

Interested in credit cards from Citibank but they don't have Mastercard credit card, only Visa.  The closest one that fits my needs is Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan. But I already have credit cards from Maybank. Prefer to have one from another bank. Thanks.

I am leaving Msia for another country and living there.

Between these 2 credit cards

CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum & PB Quantum Visa/Mastercard

which should I keep? Should I keep both?
*
Quite troublesome and not economical for you to keep and manage CC (principal).
It is better you keep a Debit card.

Thanks! So bank refer to basic only or together with bonus or allowance ?

The basic and bonus/allowance shall already be included in BE 2017. The income requirement is RM xx thousand per annum, not RM x thousand per month.

Consider CIMB / CIMB Islamic Petronas Mastercard, 7% rebate everyday (max RM50 rebate/month, ie RM714/month at Petronas), if your STATEMENT BALANCE is >RM3000. 3% everyday if statement balance is <RM3k.

then bonus not included? because my bonus quite high, around 7.5 months of my basic salary last year, but if EA form then got show
*
Use your Borang BE 2017 (all your income + bonus + allowance), much better than EA (employment income for a particular employer only).
Unless you receive your bonus in 2018, then you need to report in Borang BE 2018 by 15/5/2019.

1. Annual Income: RM 50k

2. Annual Fee: Free / Waived by meeting certain criteria

3. Card required for: Petrol on Friday (no other spending required)

4. Existing credit cards (if any): No, its my first CC.

5. Interested in CC from: Any bank
New petrol rate revise every Friday, so preparing a card that gives best rebate for Friday.

Currently I have MBB Amex for Petrol on weekend, MBB Visa Barcelona for weekdays..
*
Use your FCB VS to buy some Petronas Gift cards (Petrol RM100) at Shopee, RM94-97 during shocking sales. Then use Petronas GC to pump petrol.

The weekly scheme will last for a few weeks only, as RON95 shall reach the capped price RM2.20 by Feb (crude price up nearly 20% in the past weeks) and then new pricing mechanism in Q2/2018.

3. Card required for: Mainly for petrol & online purchase

4. Existing credit cards: Non

5. Interested in CC from: Any banks that offer such card.

6. Others: Just started hire purchase and no record on CTOS.

Tried PB Quantum & HSBC Amanah and got rejected. Is thinking about Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan Gold Card or Maybank Islamic Petronas. Monthly petrol expenses less than rm450 and  shopping/ dining less than rm300. Please advice.
*
Other options for you to consider...
1. Standard Chartered Just-one Platinum: RM85 monthly rebate from Petrol or Online - 15%, minimum spend RM2500 per month so you may consider + Bigpay or Boost or other expenses to boost up your monthly figure (doesn't mean monthly expenses).
2. Buy Petronas Giftcards RM100 at Shopee during Shocking sales, RM94. You can pay using online banking, debit cards, credit cards. so you can pump petrol any time not restricted to weekends.
3. Maybank M2 Amex Gold. 5% (+5 Treatpoints woth 1%) weekend rebate on everything including petrol at Petronas/Shell, groceries. But Amex is not widely accepted.
