QUOTE(senghock @ May 22 2020, 07:09 PM)
it consists of a booster a/c ,  step up and ,Maxsure2
for example, if we want to invest 100k
1) BOOSTER a/c - have to open if u dont have one.
    - the function of this Booster a/c is to topup for the STEPUP  and will get 3.1% (1.9%+1.2% ) for 6 month starting from the day register when your BOOSTER a/c have at least 20k inside
if you have less than 20k in your BOOSTER a/c, normal saving rate will be given
the interest of 3.1% in 6 month is calculate on daily basis

2) STEPUP
    - the left chart is called STEPUP which is a saving insurance by Great Eastern
    - When register today u have to bank in 20k and the remaining of 80k need to bank in at 22/5/2023 (20k), 22/5/2024 (20k), 22/5/2025 (20k) and 22/5/2026 (20k)
    - You can also choose to bank in RM1666 monthly in which you will get the return by about 2k less compare to paying yearly
    - The 20k or RM1666 will automatically topup from BOOSTER a/c, so have to make sure there is enough balance or your agent will be reminded by your agent
    - have to invest at least 10years to get return, if terminate during first 10 years there is penalty and the money you get back will be less than 100k you invested

3) MAXSURE2 - 3.9% annual Rate
    - the maximum amount you can invest in this SAVING INSUARANCE 3 times of yearly payment ,so it's 3 x 20k = 60k
    - after one year, have to put in 60k again to get 3.9%
    - 1st year 60k and get interest of RM2340
    - 2nd year bank in 60k and total of SAVING INSUARANCE is 60k+60k=120k, so will get another RM4680 of interest

sorry for my poor english and hope you guys can understand  tongue.gif  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

you are most welcome, i am glad that u can understand what i am written.haha

what do you think about this plan ?
according to OCBC they are using conservative 5%++ yearly return for calculating the STEPUP return and the return rate might be higher.

I guess PBB's 2.58% for 4mths is slightly better, considering we won't really see an increase in the rates.

Have anyone got into this situation before, or can advise the best action ?

Yesterday I transfer via FPX for the MBB 2.59 eIFD promotion, which I have done before, but yesterday the transaction hang right before it returns to MBB website. So I have the SMS from HLB that the money is transferred out, FPX email that the transaction is success, but no FD is placed in MBB. I waited until today to place another transaction which is successful, but yesterday FD is still missing.

Tried calling Customer service, but service center is close. Should i report via writing ? Wait until after Raya ? or any other numbers I can call for assistance ?

MBB eFD system is bad. First, unlike HLB and PBe, MBB never show the promo rate during we making placement eFD online (eg: 2.59% p.a@ tenure 6M), then after you made placement eFD, MBB give you normal rate, you will regret . Second, MBB FPX system got problem. yesterday morning 8am , I was making eIFD via FPX from Hong Leong Bank I have received an "unsuccessful" message. However, the money has been deducted from my Hong Leong bank account. I went to the MBB branch to check, the MBB information counter staff and have not credited back into my HLB account within 24 hours and asked me go home and wait. Until now it has been more then 24 hours but the fund have not credited back HBB account. Today is Saturday, tomorrow and Mon 25 May will be Hari Raya and Tue maybe replacement. MBB is so troublesome, I'm so worried my fund.

Thank you for sharing your experience.
For the record, I made my transaction at 7pm yesterday. It is admirable that you went to follow up immediately at the bank ( the queue is horrible, I was at the bank yesterday for another matter).
I have decided on the safe side to report via writing at the MBB website, while waiting for the banks to reopen after the holidays.
I do have the FPX email stating the transaction is successful, so I'm going use that for filing the report.

I got some helpful info from Paynet FAQ.

While making payment using FPX, I have received an error / unsuccessful message. However, the money has been deducted from my bank account. What should I do?
In the event that your account has been deducted but the transaction was unsuccessful for some reasons, your money will be credited back into your account by your Bank. You can contact your Bank for the reversal status by providing the FPX Transaction ID or Merchant Order No. as a reference. You may also provide the screen shot of your payment that displays the FPX Transaction ID or Merchant Order No.

The merchant claims it has not received my payment although the FPX transaction status is successful. What should I do?
FPX transaction status is final and the merchant is obligated to deliver the goods/services or to update your payment in a timely manner. In this case, you should contact the merchant for the delivery of your goods/services purchased. You can provide the necessary details such as the online receipt issued by FPX/merchant or the email notification received from FPX that contain the following details:

i. FPX Transaction ID
ii. Merchant Order No.
iii. Payment amount;
iv. Date and time of the payment.

I tried to PM MBB in FB Messenger, MBB replied within few hours. They want me to send the screenshot from the FPX email as well, then they will investigate. I think Twiitter Message them also can.

Good response from MBB, but bad experience for this time. MBB eIFD system is no good ( didn't show promo rate, difficult to apply eIFD if FPX from other bank...). Next time if MBB if apply eFD for MBB still need to think twice.
