Thanks bro rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Edit: I used the first link and login, it straight take me to FD placement page, if you put in 10k or more figure (as per min) it will only give you one option @ 4.5% for
6mths.

cimb preferred customer only?  I tried my cimb clicks.. cant see 4.4% interest rate for FD.
*
4.4% was the walk in promo rate... I was about to do that before I found out this deal. Easier no need go waste time in branch.

if you have 100k, you may walk into SCB and request for a special rate, 4.6% is possible about 2 months ago but must put for 1 year
again this is not board rate and they wont publish it, you will have to ask at customer service counter - PJ Branch ya
*
That was before BNM dropped the interest rate, thats why across the board why the % has lowered as well for all banks.

Hi all I’ve always been CIMB account holder, lately thinking of switching banks to park FD with. About 150k where to put for best interest rate? Are there any banks with incentives for new customers?
*
150k most bank won't blink an eye.

Best option is if you just see the best rates given here by the banks and go with it.

Yeah makes sense. The thing is that most banks show the public/board rate on their websites, what I want to know is their (almost) best rate like 3.8 or something, not the mediocre 3.1% they put on their website like CIMB Clicks.
*
Other than the usual online rates, you do get special rates from branches to branches, depending on the cash position they are in.

Issue at the moment is our lending appetite is low and interest rate is relatively low as well, thus the banks don't need that much cash.

Nice. At least another bank that is offering pure FD at this rate. I'm sure the others will follow suite.
*
Yep, unfortunately I just dump my ones into the CIMB 6m 3.85% not too long ago!

12mths much easier, i doubt there will be any rate increase, so chasing that 0.1-0.2% is pointless.

Not sure if this is a pure FD?
*
It's pure FD.

Their previous promo for was e-FD, but this time they revert back to OTC.

Affin The Curve said 3.9% no more, best rate is 3.25% for 11 months.

Can anyone verify if CIMB Damansara Utama still offering 3.85%? Tried calling the number found online but seems not working.
*
The CIMB 3.85% is based on the e-FD promo link, not OTC rate.

Is it? I just went to CIMB Uptown to ask for FD rate, they told me 6 months 3.85%, 12 months 3.75%. I thought of switching my fund from OCBC to CIMB tomorrow.
*
Means they offer the same OTC gua...

Then just do it online through the link easier lo...

Just curious. What is the advantage of putting at cimb?  They auto renew at good interest?
*
Nope, mine was renewed at 3%.

I place my fd with CIMB last week for duration of 12 months.

Can I cancel my cimb fd now? I have a seven figure amount and like to put in the Alliance casa+fd 4% tomorrow. I think that's better return for me
*
Of course you can, depending on the t&c you might have to forfeit the accumulated interest or incur some charges.

Sorry for the late reply, I had to made sure I could before I posted.

I do not have AmBank SA before, but I do have their CC. What I did was to download their app, using it and apply for the eFlex Savings. From there, i transferred my money to the eFlex. I have successfully gotten the 3.5% with funds taken from the eFlex acc.

No need to go branch all. I do not know if this works if you do not have any prior relationship with AmBank.
