QUOTE(syahmonteiro @ Jul 3 2021, 11:13 PM) Oh you have similar issue too? No. I believe no one here has a problem reloading with BigPay to TransferWise. So no one here knows why, and it's best to ask BP CS why is your card not accepted. If BP CS says no issue, wait Monday and ask TransferWise's CS via their app.

First transfer is free. After that Bigpay will charge RM5 per transfer.
You will receive the fund immediately. Very seemless.

Interesting that BNM is the one taking the lead this time. Okay, I guess we will be seeing Tiger, Sotong, peebee, and overseas ones like HSBC, Citi, OCBC all sorts taking up this deal.

This is good news. I think all banks should consider investing more in Apple Pay, Samsung Pay etc because at least their card is in use.

One more, can you disclose if it’s also directive from BNM to pick up Google Pay as well? Would look good to have 2 of this big ones in this playground.

its not going to launch this year. stop believing rumours and soaking it all up like its gospel.
with how covid is going, you think the banks will be spending money to implement AP?
with how the country is being run, you think they will meet target? it'll be delayed like every other project and considering its from the banks, it'll be a couple more years to go.
pls don't take some random's word for it and its so vague too.
i can also say i wrote in to bigpay alot of times to implement AP and if they are the first one to do it in msia they'll get more sign ups. so if they do launch AP don't forget to tip me ya

We wouldn’t know when AP is going to launch in MY. I been using AP in MY (Top up Bigpay - Bank SG) , I think it’s not hard to implement since most of card terminals accept Paywave

QUOTE(jagadis @ Jul 7 2021, 10:51 AM) This is good news. I think all banks should consider investing more in Apple Pay, Samsung Pay etc because at least their card is in use. I believe what is holding them back are actually the numbers and volume. For example, when I spoke to some folks in a local bank who implemented Samsung Pay, the numbers were just too low. This is because after cutting through the population of Android users, it's then specific to Samsung phones and then certain Samsung phones. Since the launch of Samsung Pay then until now, the eWallets have grown tremendously and they did a lot of the heavy lifting, like A LOT of heavy lifting, which is MERCHANT acquisition and training. Most of the time if you want to pay with Samsung Pay which you can pay with it, the staff at the retail outlets or shops probably don't know that they work. This is what eWallets like Grab, Boost, TnG and FAVE have been investing in training the merchant staff on how to handle it. The more trained they are in any of those platforms, the more they will easily accept it.
