Apple Pay is going to be launch in Malaysia soon, likely by the end of this year. This is an insider news from someone working in the Bank industry.

It is directive from BNM, all banks can participate given they agree to their terms. I cannot disclose more than that.

Don’t you worry alright, it’s coming. Like most things, projects ain’t always smooth sailing, some hiccups are to be expected, especially at the holiday season, so sit tight for Q1 2022

Question for all the insider/leakers forumers working in the “financial/banking industry. Why don’t you share images of evidence of your “Apple Pay project”.

Of course, I get there are P&C agreements in place and consequences. I don’t get why can’t you share pictures of colleges texting about the project (with their names censored of course) or even you’re even daring, screenshot the digital card’s image on Apple Pay.

From what I have gone thru this forum, the rumours are just based on someone’s mouth, and no concrete evidence. Like why hype people for Apple Pay, if you know it’s not ready yet. I just accept that I can only get Apple Pay when I go abroad. I rest my case.

Risking job security for some internet point? Not gonna happen.

Authentication option (SMS or Call Center) are dependent on the device confidence level set by Apple. Device that is considered as higher risk (deemed by Apple) will have higher authentication requirement.

I just wonder that.. what if I need use applepay for more than RM250..
at ambank QnA got mention that applepay is not limit to RM250.. but due to our local cashier.. if I said I want wave for more than RM250.. they will confuse right? maybe they will just ask me to use card to swipe.

Apple Pay get special treatment, no PIN require for transaction above RM250.

Can. Why cannot?

Ooen “Watch” app on phone, go to “Wallet” and select the card and see the transaction tab. Transactions are separated in each “Wallet” app i.e. Phone wallet when use thru phone and watch wallet when used thru watch. It’s to differentiate which transactions using which device.

Actually it is because each device has it's own "virtual" card number (even for the same card), which is stored in the device Secure Enclave, including the transaction history. So they are independent with each other and not sync.
