chill man, it has nothing to do with who can afford one... im just asking because i want to know how the system works...
im also curious if it's consider cheap why wont people buy the used porsche instead of getting a new car toyota which at the same price range.
it really depends on what you want.
poesche is relatively cheap only if you consider the purchase price but when you factor in the upkeep it is a totally different beast.
2007 Merc C200 @ 95k - the asking price is in B-segment territory of cars like Honda City and Toyota Vios (full spec) but why is the conversion rate so low? Why would people still rather buy over accessoried (oem ah beng kits) cars like Vios? Is it purely because it is new and got warranty? Most recond cars do give a sort of warranty, their condition is relatively new and you can still apply loan using new car rates. So why buy a Vios instead of a C200? The answer is upkeep. Most people can get away with a RM200 minor maintenance bill for a Vios or City at outside workshops -- or make it under RM300 for authorized service centers if you wanna maintain your warranty but anytime you bring a C200 for service if you don't have RM1000 better not think about it.

Thank you sifus for your input
Alright, I'll be more specific this time. How about :
1. Brand : Doesn't matter
2. Budget : 49k- 55k ~ish OTR with Insurance
3. New/Used/Unreg : New (maybe follow your looking for cars with 1 or 2 year of service record)
4. Specs : Low FC and low maintenance cost
5. Transmission : Auto
6. NA or FI : NA
7. Type : Don't mind
8. Remarks :
any other than MyVi 1.5 SE / Advance (Is it true MyVi having a facelift in next year? now I approached a Perodua sales agent and he offer me rebate of 4.2k on MyVi 1.5 SE and 2k ~ish on Advance) or Bezza 1.3? I'm going to test drive those 2 cars. However, I'm still open to other suggestion like sifus zenix advice, just buy Latio, don't ask much

)
I think currently Bezza represents great value because it uses Toyota hardware and finally (for the top spec at least) you have safety features similar to what other manufacturers have been offerings like better body design for crumple zone impact, stability control, brake assist, etc.
While spec for spec at the same price range the Saga and Persona can match the Bezza or even better it. It boils down to reliability and quality of which Bezza getting it's tech derived from Toyota seems like a better bet than Proton.

Many thanks! Looking at it, it is the demand that defines the price. So, If the used car demand as low as the or the new Mazda 6, the resale value would likely be lower than the Teena, I supposed.
Anysifu here knows about the skyactive engine. I heard it was designed to operate at a higher pressure than other manufacture can/ dare to do. Ya well, my worry of the used Mazda 6 is that, can that engine kept it's condition/performance after the warranty period? It's common sense, your water hose won't last as long if you using it in higher pressure… that skyactive is still new, n i think it risks the possibility of a higher maintenance cost over time…
Demand fuels the market.
2010 Toyota Camry @ 55k2010 Ford Mondeo @ 45kWhy is the Mondeo cheaper than the Camry?
Mondeo is better spec, has a better engine, more safety features, etc.
Because of market demand, the prices are based on what the customer is willing to buy.
If the customer not willing to buy then of course it is much cheaper, since that Mondeo is being advertised as 45k i am guessing the used car dealer paid RM39k or less for the car.
