HI bro,

The DIR850L did you adjust any settings or are u using the defaults? Im having only 7Mbps speed on the 300MBPS line.
*
I did no changes to the DLINK Dir-850L supplied.

1 question to you:
Does your pc/laptop has a Gigabit ethernet port?

Old PC/laptop got up to 100Mbps port only. And theoretically reach 7Mbytes/sec for 100Mbps port is pretty doable.

A gigabit ethernet port + Cat5e/Cat6 and direct connect to the router will reach 300Mbps (or 30MByte/sec) easily.

Sorry for a very late reply.
After updating my TP-Link to the latest firmware, it worked right after completing the installation wizard. No problems there. However I feel my 5Ghz is very unstable with this firmware. I quite often lose connection and go on the 2.4Ghz instead. 5Ghz cannot find until I restart the router. For now I'm using the Dlink provided by Time...
*
I don't have this issue with C7 v2 (3.14.3 Build 150520 Rel.53345n). Most of the devices I have are using 5Ghz now.

Very bad experience with Time.

After 3 weeks got installed ytd morning (Saturday). But just shortly after 1hr+ already break down. (WTF!?!)

Called Time CS they say they can only fix on working days and I must be at home when their contractor to come troubleshoot. (means expect me to take emergency leaves to attend them?!?)

3 weeks of productivity lost and now need me to take emergency leaves to attend them to fix their network issues.

Somemore tell me the billing will start ytd regardless of their downtime.

The productivity lost for downtime and time cost lost for taking leaves to attend their contractor is already higher than the monthly bills.

I really dispise their practice to let customer wait for working days and expect us to take leaves for them to troubleshoot their downtime and seriously doubt it will be wise to tie up myself for such company for 2 years.

What are the choices of router upgrades and how much does every model cost?

DECT phone comes regardless of you subscribe to the RM10 call credit thingy?

For upgrading new Wi-Fi router from existing Wi-Fi Router (ZTE or Linksys). ---> D-link 850L ( RM 270 ) or ---> Linksys EA6350 ( RM 500 ). Dect phone comes with as pay per use and RM 10 per month.

For Wi-Fi router recommendations, please see yeapch01 or jjj2 for help.

Thanks. Have a nice day.

Is there something going on with Time's backend now?

My Astro-Time 30Mbps is continually being reset to 10Mbps only. But if I boost I will get 40 Mbps. Astro technician said this is currently a large widespread issue among Astro-Time users :/
*
Happened to our Business Basic package as well.

30Mbps package reset to 10Mbps twice already.

Its working fine for 5 days now, after they had reset something at their end.
