Did they charge you rm50 for drilling?
*
Hi,

I don't how the situation at your end, but so far from the first day (8 years ago) we did installation until now, we never charge RM50 for drilling a hole.

If opening access hole & patching up at ceiling, then yes, it's chargeable according to the standard rate card.

Hi, for 2.4GHz to get 90+ Mbps.

Your router must be AC1750 and above.

Set the channel bandwidth to 40MHz and the channel to 11.
Only DL speed can reach. UL speed can't.

I'm using TP-Link Archer C9 AC1900. Set the channel channel bandwidth to 40MHz.
My laptop can achieve full speed via Wi-Fi.

The problem is radio interference. Are you testing with phone?
Anyway my iPhone 6s 2.4Ghz, 20Mhz (MacBook also same)
My mum's house: 70-90mbps
My house: 40-60mbps
Midvallley: 3-7mbps

2.4Ghz is a very congested frequency. Many wireless devices like dect phones run on 2.4Ghz. Even your microwave oven is 2.4Ghz as well.

The interference issue is very apparent at condominiums where there are a lot of routers in close proximity.

Theoretical wise, it can reach 100Mbps but the maximum throughput is limited by the severe interference.

40Mhz on 2.4Ghz is going to make interference worst and not better. Not many devices in the market support Wireless N 300 as well. smile.gif

Bro, as explained in earlier posts, it might be a channel congestion issue. Try 5GHz, 40MHz, and whatever channel that is available in the 5GHz band. The speed will be better hopefully.

Ya. I agree with that. However, only laptop are capable of getting full speed.
Most laptops now have 2X2 Antenna Wireless N. All smartphone limit to 72 Mbps only.

Now new technology is getting better today. In the future, all devices will have 5GHz.
Satisfied after changing new router from ZTE ZXHN H298N.

Too bad, not all devices support 5GHz band.
Wait for the future to see it.

Ah, sorry to hear that. Might be worth investing in external wifi AC adapters which is quite affordable these days to enjoy the full speed of your connection.

Just get a cheap adapter so that your laptop can use 5GHZ.
A lot of phones these days support 5GHZ nowadays too.

I tried to upgrade the firmware for DIR 850L. It wasn't really pleasant. Upgrade 2.08 was straight forward but when try upgrade to 2.10, i was directed to recovery mode after reboot. Was sweating if i need to buy new Router. I tried to reupload 2.08 and 2.10 few time, it didn't work. Lastly, Upload Success page displayed on 2.08 firmware. Scared problem will happen again, but proceed anyway with risk. That went on without issue.

This is my personal experience. Can't say all will face this same. For expert i think shouldn't be a problem. But normal users, just have some expert around with you.

Good evening, I've just found out all block in Scott Garden has TIME couple days ago and available for register. But I've actually installed with TM Unifi couple months ago when there was no TIME.
May I know is there any way to transfer to TIME without any penalty from TM Unifi?
