Hi guys,

Today i received an email asking me to change from my current Unifi 30mbps to Time 100 mpbs (Time will apparently bear the penalty charge due to early cancellation of the Unifi contract).

In this case if I switch over to Time, what happens to the home land line number (as it is with the UniFi line)? Do I get to keep it or must I change number?
Also how fast is 100 mpbs i.e. downloading a 1gb file?

Thanks alot for the info.

From what I hear so far Time looks very promising!
*
Thanks for your interest with TIME Fibre.

TIME will cover your penalty

TIME will provide you a new house number.

Downloading 1GB file take about 2 mins to complete.

We have free Mi Band Promo for now.
You may use easy switch if you want waive Unifi Penalty.

QUOTE(turbopips @ Dec 2 2016, 01:37 PM)
I plan to switch to Times as Maxis is getting slower and slower each day . Less than 1Mb despite subscribe to 10MB

Excuse my poor knowledge. As i see TIME webpage. Its stated RM168 for only 10Mbps and not 100Mbps.
It also state 15 boost hours for 100Mbps boost speed. What does that mean?
Is it the first 15 hours of the month, you will get 100Mbps and thereafter 10Mbps? Many thanks for your clarification.

*
Hi, I will help to explain you about this.
The boost feature you have activate via in Self-care portal
Self-care portal is a website which you can pay, view bill and activate from there.
You can choose how many hours to boost.
Boost won't activate automatically.
After your 15 hours boost finished.
Next month on the first day will renew.
Boost feature renew to 15 hours on every month on the first date.
Thanks.

BTW, I'm on 100Mbps line not 300Mbps.

Try LAN cable for accuracy.

Tested via LAN.

Is the ONU LOS blinking?
Try to reconnect PPPoE connection by setting up the connection again.
Try restart yr router.

Guys just want to ask a question here. i've just got the 300Mbit package. What i've noticed is that with a wired connection i'm getting good speeds i.e 299-310 Mbit for Up and download speed.

But I've just purchased a ASUS AC1900 adapter and  what i've seen is that it's connected to the router at above 680+ Mbit. But when i perform a speed test using wireless, I'm getting about 200Mbit.

I think it's the Dlink 850L router which is not able to perform efficiently and is thinking of switching to another router.

Question is : Can i go buy a new router off the shelf and plug it into optical terminal to get it working? Was thinking of using some other alternative other than the one supplied.  ie. Asus RT-AC3200

Is there any particular points to look out for when i get a router?. Does it need to have some unifi compatible sticker on it?
*
You can use your own Wi-Fi Router as it have WAN plug.

Most third party Wi-Fi Router can support.

After you bought your new router, you have to set up the PPPoE connection again and remove the existing Wi-Fi from the Lan 1 of the ONU.

We have a few customers in this forum using ASUS AC3200.

Feel free to text me if you need general assistance.
