Hi, may I know which Router are you refering to ?

If you are refering to DLink DIR850L, Linksys EA6350, TP-Link Archer C1200,
Try password as TIMExxxx , with xxxx = last 4 characters of your Router Mac Address.

i think i've dun goofed on my router. had to do a reset today because i forgot my router's password doh.gif (i changed it before this)

now my internet speed is like 1mbps kek. not sure what settings should i use really. i relied on the factory settings which gave me the 1mbps speed
ok so found out the factory PPPoE wasn't what i was supposed to use. fortunately there was an email sent to me with my own PPPoE account lol. well that's solved thankfully

also thought might as well upgrade in case it could give me back my speed but welp. tried to upgrade the second firmware file and it gave me this weird html-like page. but it does denote "successful" somewhere in the line. how to check if the upgrade was complete? also, my internet light is blinking orange

D-LINK DIR850L ROUTER -- FIRMWARE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD (PATCHING ZERO DAY FLAWS)

DOWNLOAD HERE

NOTE :
--- Please first upgrade the Router with the transitional firmware, DIR-850L Bx_FW208SGb01
--- And proceed with the DIR-850L Bx_FW210SGb01 firmware upgrade
*Please read the enclosed DIR-850L HW B Firmware upgrade guide .
Problems Resolved:
Fixed the security issues reported by Researcher Pierre Kim on Sep 8th, 2017.
• Firmware Protection
• WAN && LAN - Retrieving admin password, gaining full access using the custom mydlink Cloud protocol (CVE-2017-14417, CVE-2017-14418)
• WAN - Weak Cloud protocol (CVE-2017-14419, CVE-2017-14420)
• LAN - Backdoor access (CVE-2017-14421)
• WAN && LAN - Stunnel private keys (CVE-2017-14422)
• Local - Weak files permission and credentials stored in clear text
(CVE-2017-14424, CVE-2017-14425, CVE-2017-14426, CVE-2017-14427, CVE-2017-14428)
• WAN - Pre-Auth RCEs as root (L2)
(CVE-2017-14429)
• LAN - DoS attack against some daemons (CVE-2017-14430)

SUMMARY OF PREVIOUS 0-DAY FLAWS FOUND ON DLINK DIR850L ROUTER (RevA & RevB)

1) Weak or NO protection on Firmware.
2) Weak File permissions are stored in clear text.
3) Cross-site scriting flaws which enables attacker to steal the authentication cookies.
4) Vulnerabilities in MyDLink cloud protocol enables attacker to gain full access to the Router.
5) RevB backdoor access.
6) Hardcoded private keys in the firmware RevA & RevB enables MiTM attcks.
7) DNS Hijack on RevA.
8) Vulnerabilities in RevB enables command injection attacks.
9) DOS flaws in some daemons running in both RevA & RevB can be crashed via LAN.
* If you would like to wait for Telco-specific firmware, suggest you to wait for their own release. The above upgrade & patch has been tested on v2.07TT firmware by my team & it works fine.
*
Has anyone else upgrade to this yet?
Does it mess up with the TIME setting? Cause I am afraid that after upgrade, I have to input all the TIME setting back. Sorry, not very technical inclined here. Ho ho.

Anyone can confirm or not ? Can it be upgraded for old users to get a new replacement router ?

They should treat everyone fairly on this be it old or new subscriber since everyone is paying for their service.

Just replace everyone's current router to the new one to avoid any unhappy users like me and also from configuring back the router settings when we upgrade our current router firmware. This is what you call services done in a proper and right way.

Time, I hope you are seeing this.

Yes, we tried and it's working fine from the day of upgrade til now. Be sure you need to get the login credentials ready just in case you need to reset.

Thanks.

Hi Bro,

Sorry not at this moment, at least. Btw, you are using the previous ZTE ZXHN H298N or the recent Dlink-DIR850L ?

Feel free to drop them an email at cs@time.com.my to address your concern.

Thanks.

Yeah I went out and bought a better ASUS router, setting up was pretty easy and now I also have peace of mind. I already wrote to TIME CS and they replied but I am not hopeful to get a one-to-one exchange or even a refund.
