Been with maxis for more than 10 years, from prepaid to postpaid to one plan 128. Been thinking to port out since U mobile start the war with HERO plan RM70 get 7GB.
But worried about Umobile coverage so I hold it, then Digi and Celcom join the war with their own plan, giving unlimited calls and more data with cheaper price. Then stumble upon this thread, really cant brain why maxis treating their customer like this   so i decided to port out.

I cancel my contract last Thursday via maxis chat and when they ask why want to cancel, i said i want to port out. And purposely wait till yesterday to see if anyone from maxis will call and offer me new package. Not that i wanted the new package but just want to see how their reaction when a customer cancel their contract and mentioned of porting out.

So yesterday since no one from maxis call me, i decided to port in to Celcom and took their RM80 gold plan, and this morning someone from maxis call me to offer new package. First he offer me RM68 and will get 5GB unlimited call but i rejected. Then he said can give me more data, so he offer me RM88 8GB unlimited call, also I rejected it. He ask why? I said i get better offer from Celcom with RM80 gold plan. Then he start condemn Celcom saying even thou Celcom give more data but their 4G speed is slower than maxis blablabla, I just stop him and said I already frustrated with maxis and already decided to port out,so no thanks.

So I hope if anyone intend to port out and get a counter offer from maxis, just reject it. This is to teach maxis a lesson so they will realize that we customer are not stupid and we can make our choice if we are not happy with them.

Maixs also called me just now, they offer me RM78 for 5GB data with unlimited call and SMS
I took the offer immediately and I am glad that Maxis started to offer to customer who didnt port out also

What's in the 78 plan?

Maxis CS called me just now after i went to Celcom to port over 3 hours ago

made me the same offer as urs: RM88 7GB + 1GB( for first 6 months) + spotify premium with 15gb streaming music + unlimited calls and sms

i'm contemplating now and told him to call back later. Reason is i'm currently a Spotify Premium subscriber under Maxis. If I port over to Celcom Gold for RM80/month, i will have subscribe to Spotify Premium again for RM15/month, which total up to RM95/month.

i asked him for the 5GB plan and he chocked for awhile, but told me this is the only plan they could offer me

Currently on Maxis SurfMore 50 (2GB only ), every month after some calls and sms will total up to aroun RM60+. I might take this offer for that extra 6GB + unlimited call and sms...

but still, damn Maxis... u want play so low mehh? ppl port out only wanna retain with special offer.

5GB data + unlimited calls/texts. Basically it's their OnePlan 158 offered to selected customers at 68 or 78, no idea what is the selection criteria.

i m using the surfmore 75 n got another subline

called to threaten them to change to celcom
somehow the customer service guy said i can go and port out as i wish

phew,thought could get a nice counter offer

It's pretty clear from the reports posted above by Maxis customers that those who ported out gets RM68 and those who remain loyal gets RM78.

Calling those users who had received and accepted the Maxis special offers. I have accepted their offer which comes with 5GB of data + unlimited call & SMS @ RM78, but what I receive now is only Maxis One 1GB + 1GB (free for 6 months).

I made a call to Maxis and they explained to me I suppose to be getting Maxis One 1GB + 4GB (lifetime) but this 4gb will only comes to everyone including myself on 7th of April. Therefore for temporary solution they gave me 1GB extra first just to last until 7th of April.

Is this what's happening to you also?
