Maxis CS called me just now after i went to Celcom to port over 3 hours ago doh.gif

made me the same offer as urs: RM88 7GB + 1GB( for first 6 months) + spotify premium with 15gb streaming music + unlimited calls and sms

i'm contemplating now and told him to call back later. Reason is i'm currently a Spotify Premium subscriber under Maxis. If I port over to Celcom Gold for RM80/month, i will have subscribe to Spotify Premium again for RM15/month, which total up to RM95/month.

i asked him for the 5GB plan and he chocked for awhile, but told me this is the only plan they could offer me sweat.gif

Currently on Maxis SurfMore 50 (2GB only ranting.gif ), every month after some calls and sms will total up to aroun RM60+. I might take this offer for that extra 6GB + unlimited call and sms...

but still, damn Maxis... u want play so low mehh? doh.gif doh.gif ppl port out only wanna retain with special offer. vmad.gif

I saw a few posts earlier that the posters were offered RM68 plan only when they refused to accept RM88 plan. Yes, Maxis went as low as Petaling Street vendor style, wait till you turn around and walk away only then offer you cheaper price.

The onus is on you to replace the mouse and comply with forum etiquette as repetitive double postings are considered as spamming.
More so, here is Special Interest forum not /k.

Call *123 to complain just now and said most of my friends received the RM68 and RM88 offer once they mentioned wanted to port out. Then the customer service officer explained to me that the offer only to dedicated customer and called Loyalty program.

Then I mentioned, I been with Maxis for more than 10 year and still not loyal enough? And said that it was unfair that all my friends received this offer while they monthly payment also same as mine. Then the officer hold my line and inquire his superior.

After that, he mentioned will put my line into the special "List" and the team will do analysis and bla bla bla then only will call back me but he can't confirm when can I receive the call.

Wait till tmr see when they will call back or not...hmmm
*
Looks like Maxis eventually succumbed to peer pressure and started backing down. But they still take "loyal customers" who are not aware of the latest telco price war for granted by not countering competition openly with an official plan at the expense of the unaware loyal Maxis customers.

Maixs also called me just now, they offer me RM78 for 5GB data with unlimited call and SMS
I took the offer immediately and I am glad that Maxis started to offer to customer who didnt port out also smile.gif
*
RM68 only for those who ported out from Maxis. (See post 279)
RM78 for loyal customers. So, Maxis exploited loyal customers to the max. doh.gif

5GB data + unlimited calls/texts. Basically it's their OnePlan 158 offered to selected customers at 68 or 78, no idea what is the selection criteria.
*
It's pretty clear from the reports posted above by Maxis customers that those who ported out gets RM68 and those who remain loyal gets RM78.

wow, i didnt know maxis has a port out package, so how do i sign up for this port out package ? because i am paying RM130 a month for maxis one plan, and now after reading most of the stories here, i planning to port out ASAP
*
Hop over to Celcom, Digi or Umobile service centers to do the porting then wait for Maxis to counter offer you "port out package". Best to do it before end of this month because if Celcom promotion ended, Maxis might take a breather.
No port out, No good deal.

You mean ask them directly to offer me that? Any tricks?
Need pretend no siok lo. They shouldn't be doing this at all. Just one plan for all.
So when you did that, before even start porting out by just saying wanted to port out over the phone call, they asap offer u the new plan?
Or while in process of porting out only offer u that? Please advise.

Once I really start porting out, I will not look back even they offer me. As I felt all these while I'm been cheated. Some more I also need cancel 1x zerolution which left 18 mth before porting out, if I accept their offer, my bill will look messy.
*
Maxis no longer behave like a big corporation, they are more like a Petaling Street vendors now, call you back and give you the last price only if you turn around and walk away.

wow ...blame game started ... now blame to CRM... well ... CRM system's setting also configured by human or "business team" which need to make the so called "decision" on the CRM setting before it can be roll out to production system ....

or maybe the CRM is set something like this "IF PORT OUT then OFFER else DO NOTHING"

cmon..maxis....just do a public statement, say sorry and begin to fixed the problem ... like that ... netizen will fell much more appreciated ... rather than just beat around the bush and say different excuses ....
*
She avoided the most important question of why subline was offered RM68 plan while principal line gets nothing with just a "Weird" answer. Pretend dunno as if there is no such thing and this think should not have happened.
I think existing maxis customers should pressure Maxis in FB or forum to apology for this blunder.

QUOTE(viqq @ Apr 4 2016, 10:18 AM)
IMHO, you guys should be glad that they are(Maxis) at least making an effort to make you stay! I was with DiGi when my iPhone plan expired, but they didn't give a sh*t about me, T_T

I gave them a final chance by calling up the customer service to see if they have any offer for me, they just told me that they were sorry and no offers for me. WTF? And I've been with them since 14/15. (I'm a 30 years old entrepreneur)

Malaysia telcos do not care how many years you've been with them, while new subscribers (especially port in customers) have always been getting the better deals! And Maxis always had a thing for port in customers too, like I only paid RM599 only for a HTC One M7 back then if I ported in from other Telcos.

To be fair, I actually appreciate they have special offers for Sabah/Sarawak subscribers. While paying the same price as West Malaysians, we had sh*tty internet speed and coverage! It's about d*mn time they gave us something back! Or it could simply be that Sabah/Sarawak had the highest port out rate in the past few months and they are trying to make them stay by offering better deals for Sabah/Sarawak subscribers.

Well, it's just my two cents. Don't flame me please! Cheers! biggrin.gif
*
Actually, EM maxis customers also kena shortchanged by Maxis with the region restricted EM RM68 plan, if read all the past postings, customers from WM porting out but counter offered the RM68 plan, their 5GB data is without region restriction.

Does go centre for any clarification or confirmation on this issue?
*
Bro, I was told Celcom only provide conditional call forwarding e.g. forward when unavailable, when busy, when out of coverage, when not answer. Unconditional forward all calls is not available.
Can you help to confirm that whether first gold plan can do unconditional call forwarding with the following gsm commands?
Unconditional call forwarding
*21*phone number#
To undo : #21#

The feature of unconditional call forward is that all incoming calls will be forwarded while your phone can remain on with mobile coverage to receive only data and sms.

The revised data upgrade still can't beat the "port out" plan @ RM68 5GB unlimited voice/SMS.

Still need to port out, guys.

With the latest free data upgrade without any additional monthly fee, what happen to those water fishes who accepted the "special upgrade offer" earlier by paying extra RM30 for additional 5GB data ? Twice cheated ??

To add fuel to the fire,

I'm using digi postpaid 78 (RM78 for 7gb + 2gb carry) + digi broadband (rm45 for 20gb all day)

So i'm paying RM123 only forĀ  29gb all day this month (with carry forward data).

QUOTE(Zeuslord @ Apr 15 2016, 11:54 AM)
I never post anything before in the net but this time can't resist to chip in my thought for this topic. I've been Maxis postpaid user since 2004 and only missed their payment twice if remember correctly. The last package I'm subscribing was RM50/month for 1GB data.

Last year, I've moved down to Semenyih and their coverage is bad. In the same time, I was recommended to have a look at UMobile packages which they're having promotion at that time. My wife and my daughter without hesitation change to UMobile and they are both satisfied with their service. I'm still hesitate for the changes as I'm a 'loyal brand' person. After a while, I couldn't resist for the changes as my both wife and daughter enjoying their smooth internet coverage and I'm still stuck with the 'E' coverage service.

I took the P70 plan (7GB + unlimited calls) and I never regret for the changes since then. Now their plan temporary upgraded to 15GB by end of June 2016. But you must admit if both services available in 4G area, Maxis do perform better in term of data smoothness.

The point I want to point out here I do feel Maxis do treat me like Water Fish / Idiot (I do agree with the first posting by jackson5759). Let us unite and teach them a lesson and make Maxis the first company in Malaysia to 'gulung tikar' because of consumer power. The next we should look into is their another parent company, Astro.

Looks like Celcom, Digi and U Mobile keep up the competition pace by introducing new plans one after another to capitalise on the big exodus from Maxis's customers.
Meanwhile, Maxis seems defenseless. Let's see how long Maxis can take the beating before she knee to the customers and beg for comeback with revised new plans.

Maxis did offered some small revisions on data quota to MOP but refusing to budge on the pricing. Before Maxis can roll out the data revision, new attacks from two fronts, ie. RM70 ARPU and RM150 ARPU came knocking already. biggrin.gif

Very funny that Celcom, DiGi and U Mobile can come up with improved plans so fast to capitalise on MaxShit fiasco but MaxShit cannot.

MaxShit always promoted themselves to be the best and many of their people are always very cocky (probably they think they are the best in the industry). So now they are taking their own sweet time to come up with good plans for ALL subscribers is something unexpected.

Called CS and scold them for changing my plan without informing me. Legally,  I signed up for MOP188 plan with RM100 discount for 2 yrs. They can't simply change my plan. If they want to offer the 'normal' MOP188 users with more data, they have to come out with new MOP package and upgrade the normal user to that package. As simple as that. No one will complains on upgrade. A simple thing also can be screwed up by Maxis. Now need to wait for 5 days for them to retrieve the recorded conversation when the offered me the package. Maxis think their customers are idiot. Luckily Celcom gold extended till May, still got time to port out. Maxis excellent CS and support (may be not all are excellent but I was lucky to met one 13 yrs ago) had gone. Their CS still supportive but their management totally screwed up.
*
A deal is a deal, Maxis offered you MOP188 with RM100 rebate + spotify premium are perks to retain you from porting over but now the porting had been cancelled and Maxis turn around and say no, this is utterly despicable.
Another thing, customer downgrade plan under contract have to pay penalty, fair enough. But shouldn't Maxis have to pay for penalty if they do the same ?
