Looks like Maxis eventually succumbed to peer pressure and started backing down. But they still take "loyal customers" who are not aware of the latest telco price war for granted by not countering competition openly with an official plan at the expense of the unaware loyal Maxis customers.

Is Maxis service 'too good' compared to other telcos that you need to go to the extend of begging to get that package?????!!!!

i called 123 2 times asking abt porting out, contract termination, etc.. and still they dont even want to offer me the special package. guess im not in their special list.. i somemore ask how many years my acct w maxis and she replied 13 yrs but no special privileged as well.

Guys, why are u guys so loyal?

If it's because it's convenience and you guys dont want to change then it's your own problem.

I am always not loyal to any telco. If there is any telco that gives me a better deal, I will hop instantly. Provided, no contract. Changing from 1 telco to another is very very simple. Dont even need to change number... why stay loyal?

im maxis for 10 years. now im with celcom...

maxis bs doesnt have unlimited quota. its a bs..

i once hit the slow throttle i still use it. but then i hit the page where said the internet need to subcribe additional plan..

with celcom, i can talk for hours, and sms for millions internet i can have the vpn ready.. no prob..

I think as long as you're on contract they won't offer you anything. They seem to target those maybe on Surfmore 50 and not on contracts. Maybe offer them 5GB, free calls, etc. for MYR78 so that's additional MYR28 monthly and imagine they manage to get 100,000 customers.. More than enough to cover those disgruntled customers who ported out. Other than that, no idea what is their selection criteria.

I have no choice bro. Digi and Celcom are suck in my working and staying place. If not, I already changed to Celcom earlier.

Here is my best option after all the hoping.....

Best deal I got tusk far is Celcom. RM2/month (Monthly fees). Anything above that is charged to you. RM0.10/minute.

Was using that plan for years, but that plan dont have data. So now that I need data, the best plan I have is still Celcom RM38 First Basic plan. 3GB of data which can be carry forward. I am always at 6GB data due to this carry forward thingy and free 50minutes call per month (Which of cause is not enough). Total bill ended up paying every month with tax is around RM50'ish.

Now telco's are fighting to give X amount of data + unlimited call. Let them fight over it and we hop to the best 1, else there will be no competition in the telco industry and price will be stagnant.

So remember the golden rule, no contract so that you can always hop.

Somehow I doubt it, they may be too busy and forgotten to call you back. If you really want the offer then just call them, am sure you will get it.

Been with maxis for more than 10 years, from prepaid to postpaid to one plan 128. Been thinking to port out since U mobile start the war with HERO plan RM70 get 7GB.
But worried about Umobile coverage so I hold it, then Digi and Celcom join the war with their own plan, giving unlimited calls and more data with cheaper price. Then stumble upon this thread, really cant brain why maxis treating their customer like this mad.gif so i decided to port out.

I cancel my contract last Thursday via maxis chat and when they ask why want to cancel, i said i want to port out. And purposely wait till yesterday to see if anyone from maxis will call and offer me new package. Not that i wanted the new package but just want to see how their reaction when a customer cancel their contract and mentioned of porting out.

So yesterday since no one from maxis call me, i decided to port in to Celcom and took their RM80 gold plan, and this morning someone from maxis call me to offer new package. First he offer me RM68 and will get 5GB unlimited call but i rejected. Then he said can give me more data, so he offer me RM88 8GB unlimited call, also I rejected it. He ask why? I said i get better offer from Celcom with RM80 gold plan. Then he start condemn Celcom saying even thou Celcom give more data but their 4G speed is slower than maxis blablabla, I just stop him and said I already frustrated with maxis and already decided to port out,so no thanks.

So I hope if anyone intend to port out and get a counter offer from maxis, just reject it. This is to teach maxis a lesson so they will realize that we customer are not stupid and we can make our choice if we are not happy with them.
