Although I see Amazon and ebay got seller but I suggest to wait because I found most of it got a strange cut off on Samsung logo which make it extremely ugly. Some more no one actually own a device and put that on to make sure it's fit without having bubble or won't cause trouble with cases.

*Go for tempered glass once market have it. No matter what type of glass, the edge side always the weaker part that easy to break same goes to tempered glass screen protector.

15% is still a good deal, I think don't try to argue with them about the 20% email you received today, they have right to reject the sales...later get nothing in the end.

Just enjoy the discount that you have, at least you get discounted price it's really very good!

finally, got 1 unit. login at 945am and saw PREORDER available with 20% discount. Tried my luck and managed to complete the transaction within 2 mins. The email sent by Samsung indicated 15% discount though. but seriously Samsung need to learn from Xiaomi on this web ordering stuffs.

I doubt so. The first come first served if I'm right it means on the preorder day but not on collection. As long as you secure the pre-order you will entitle 20% discount + 128GB MicroSD + 1 year extended warranty. If first come first serve during collection, no point doing pre-order anymore.

I don't think need to queue for 128GB card man, there's many outlets, not everyone go to the same outlet, only the 1st 1,000 customers NATIONWIDE get the 128GB.

Can anyone confirm if the first PO with 128gb m-SD and additional warranty is guaranteed for each pre-order or is it first come first serve basis? Language used is very vague and I have not gotten a reply from Samsung Malaysia on twitter.

Based on the vague language my worry is they would say first come first serve basis and what stop the dealer from saying they have run out of the sd card and warranty?

If anyone has gotten clarification would appreciate posting it here thanks!

I guess I'm replying at wrong timing. I was actually the 1st batch buyer...

What I wanted to say is that Samsung must honor the deal as advertised 128GB + 1 year extended warranty but not "while stock last" and "first come first serve" basis after the pre-order.

Same goes to 64GB microSD 2nd batch ppl...

I see. I think for first come first serve applied to pre order, not collection. Once we secured the deal, the stocks should be available for all qualifiers.

Anyone gonna bulk order slickswrap or dbrand for s7 edge?

I'm looking at the carbon fiber. Don't really like the glass back as it attracts fingerprint and my unit gonna be black biggrin.gif

I wonder where did all the skeptics go who said they might not make the first 1000 sales. Now it's 3000 pre orders already even at reduced perks.

I'm glad Samsung did their best to rectify their mistakes.

Same goes to the Note 5 launch. Initially 100 units for half price second units but then they extended to 200 units.

Come Note 6 please slip up again Samsung, we can demand more pre order goodies x)

Actually i did not expect to change phone because my.note3 with 3gb ram is good enough.

Just that s7 is water proof and nice to hold laugh.gif

Browsing through various discussion forums regarding S7 Edge just now. Found out a fact that both of SD 820 & Exynos 8890 variants has a significant difference in term of charging. Apparently, SD 820 is supporting up to QC 3.0 while Exynos 8890 is supporting up to QC 2.0 only. So in short, Malaysia variant will be taking longer time in charging.

Not a really big deal since the difference would be not that big. Anyway, just thought I should share this little info.

I bought solely because of the big discount cum extra 128gb card ( alone worth rm300+). Will pass card to my son as I had already 2 pcs of 128gb, 1pc 200gb n 2 unused 64gb

The knowyourmobile site report is inaccurate. Asian countries such as Spore n Taiwan are getting Exynos chip n so highly likely Msia will be exynos too

The only major difference between QC2.0 and QC3.0 is the power efficiency I guess.


And we will be getting the Exynos processor. But based on the recent Antutu benchmark, Exynos seems to be lacking much on GPU against SD820 T_T

That was only for the S6E - warmest phone I had used n bad battery life
The Note5 surprisingly very much cooler n even on intensive usage you don't feel the phone as hot n just slightly warm only
Anyway all reports to date had shown the exynos chip is much improved in the S7E

I was flashing new ROM on the Note 5 a few days ago. And I noticed the idle temp in TWRP recovery. I left it on without flashing anything and the 73 was hovering there.

And yes I must the admit the Note 5 is quite cool for normal usage. Hahaha that's what I've gathered in the few days I've used it.

While in recovery, all 8 cores are unparked and running at max speed the CPU can go. This is used for flashing stuff in the recovery. Thus the phone getting super duper warm or hot in some cases.

Can't really trust word from normal worker. Some of them are really blur tongue.gif
Unless the word come from supervisor or manager.

Anyway we can pay using credit card right? Got 2% charge?

Price are stated by Samsung but not on charges on CC.

CC charges you cannot dispute with the outlet as it's not under Samsung. Bring cash to pay settle all problem or even better bring debit card

what I mean 2 variant is use 2 different processor (snapdragon and exynos)
not 2 variant (s6 and s6 edge) or (s7 and s7 edge)

My previous S3 was a mofo pos. Constant lagging, freezing and utterly annoying doh.gif

As with all Samsung phones, I'd anticipate some lagging/pause/freezing here and there in the S7 but I do not expect it to be as bad as the S3 lol.
