Anyway all reports to date had shown the exynos chip is much improved in the S7E
I was flashing new ROM on the Note 5 a few days ago. And I noticed the idle temp in TWRP recovery. I left it on without flashing anything and the 73 was hovering there.
And yes I must the admit the Note 5 is quite cool for normal usage. Hahaha that's what I've gathered in the few days I've used it.

While in recovery, all 8 cores are unparked and running at max speed the CPU can go. This is used for flashing stuff in the recovery. Thus the phone getting super duper warm or hot in some cases.
