QUOTE(Doom @ Mar 13 2007, 01:14 AM) what i mean is the North bridge chip set temperature ... hope it clear ur doubt ... does any of the software show it as NB temp for your case? or it just show motherboard temp? In the BIOS, I can only see Motherboard Temp and Processor Temp... about the mobo temperature i am not sure of it either .. . what about the temperature shown in the bios "SYSTEM" /// |

IINM, the motherboard temp is the chipset temp.
Remember when i'm still on my ASUS P5WD2-E Premium board? I used to get 48degrees on the stock northbridge heatsink [Motherboard Temp in PC Wizard 2007] But when i switch the northbridge chipset heatsink to Noctua NC-U6, what i get is 36degrees. [Motherboard Temp in PC Wizard 2007] Doesn't that shows that the motherboard temp is the northbridge temp? It sure does look as the northbridge temps to me. |

QUOTE(DaRkSyThE @ Mar 16 2007, 11:51 AM) nehh read below QUOTE QUOTE(basSist @ Mar 11 2007, 05:50 PM) mine also DS3. using a 40mm fan to blow on the NB. open 2 folding clients all the time. E6400 @ 3.2GHZ (400x8, 1.375vcore in bios, +0.2 for both vmch and fsb, +0.3 for vdimm) idle: 43c, Load: 44c. non air con. izzit chipset temp = motherboard temp? wonder why temp same for idle and load for the motherboard temp. QUOTE(RokXIII @ Mar 16 2007, 01:36 PM) How bout the temp for CPU? CPU is the cpu temp measured by the Mobo's sensor. core 0 and core 1 is the cpu (core) temp measured by the cpu's internal die chipset. so core temp is higher than cpu temp. When i refer to everest ultimade version, it list out temp for CPU, core 0, core 1, system... I just know Core 0 and Core 1 only, how bout the CPU, System? system should be the mobo's chipset temp. so called Northbridge. correct me if i was wrong pls This post has been edited by basSist: Mar 16 2007, 04:23 PM |

wta, im running at 43-46 idle on a e6600 @ 3150Mhz, vcore 1.3875v, tuniq tower fan at full speed, think those temps are slightly on the hot side right?

Wehh, u're running e6600 @ 3150MHz at 1.3875volts? Why need to pump the vcore to that extend? My e6600 is running at 3.2GHz at the stock vcore [1.3125volts] only. No need to increase the vcore liao... Mine: 400X8 [3.2GHz] @ 1600MHz bus speed. Check this: ![]() I even did primed my e6600 at that clock speed at the stock vcore for 19hours with no problem at all. So why did you pump the vcore into that high? I believe if you set your setting the same as mine, you will have a much much lower temps than what you're having right now. QUOTE(DaRkSyThE @ Mar 16 2007, 09:14 PM) Agreed. It's using Prescott cores aka preshott Prescott are the hottest core ever produced by Intel. If you're using stock heatsink and getting that kind of temps, i believe your motherboard sensor chip got bugs in it. This post has been edited by sHawTY: Mar 16 2007, 09:16 PM |
