Well, recently when i played Need For Speed Carbon or Call of Duty at medium graphic settings, I will be able to play it for like 5-8 minutes tops and then i get artifacting effects.Small 3d boxes appear all over the screen
whats even worse is i need to restart (no exitting the game doesnt solve it).
Did some troubleshooting and found out with ATITool that my Graphic card temperature is at 100C or more when loaded !
and idle at 65-75C.
Graphic card is not overclocked. Stock setting with stock cooling.
Now question I have for the hardcore OC'ers;
1) Is it a normal temperature range for this type pf graphic card?
2) Is it better to change cooling and hope its not a physical malfunction or better get a new card?
Thanks for all inputs
Below are my specs:
DFI LAN Party UT-D
Antec TP-II 480W
ATI X800XL pcie
AMD64 Venice 3200+
Kingston Memory 512 twin pack(sorry dont have the chipset type)
Westerd Digital 160Gb
Maxtor 120Gb
i think u shud get a new hsf for it. to prolong the life of the card. unless with the new coat of AS5, the temperature drops significantly.whats even worse is i need to restart (no exitting the game doesnt solve it).
