QUOTE(sHawTY @ Dec 11 2006, 09:35 PM) Not right now, as i'll be upgrading my system to the max that my budget can support later, then, after that, i'll be showing off my rig in here, to make u're saliva coming out from you're mouth... joining lian li league.....good choice The best part is, i'm going to replace my Tsunami Dream with the Lian Li PC A10, and fit it with two Enermax Liberty 500W psu... Or should i use two Enermax Liberty 620W? |

QUOTE(irangan @ Dec 11 2006, 10:38 PM) more cable clutter and also more heat if not using modular i think, the unused wires also no place to keep, anyway if u look at the pc a10, if put 2 psu the heat frm the hdd harder to escape |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Dec 11 2006, 11:09 PM) Because the Lian Li PCA10 has two psu slots, why leave it just like that when u can utilize them both? i know its designed for 2 psu but reason i dont recommend 2 psu for this casing is coz if u look at the pc a10 airflow is designed to go one way, if u put another psu, hot air frm hdd cant escape...then the heat will built up coz i using something similar but the 2nd psu is stacked, not side by side, anyway i left my unused cables on top of the psu and after awhile i can feel the heat build up, quite warm around the unused cables area ...thats just with cables not another squarish block like psu, furthermore the enermax fan on top not on the front or back, heat slower to dissipate. The 1st psu is for the motherboard, all harddisks, optical drives and the fans in the pc, while the other psu is for the graphic cards, the watercooling components and the uv ccfl... I think two Liberty 500W is enough right? I'm not going for the Enermax Galaxy 1000W, as i've heard that it got lot's of problems, so, i'm opting for two Enermax Liberty 500W, it's the same thing right? Futhermore, it'll be cheaper... Two Enermax Liberty 500W: RM450 X 2 = RM900 One Enermax Galaxy 1000W: RM1XXX However, the PCA10 doesn't have one thing that i've always wanted: Motherboard tray facing leftside of the casing, not rightside like all many casings in the market... Any other Lian Li casing that have these specs: Other casing brand is also accepted, but please don't offer me Thermaltake Casings 1) Motherboard tray facing leftside of the casing 2) MUST Have front door to cover all the 5.25" + 3.5" External bay 3) Have two slots for utilizing two PSU's Anyone can give me some opinion? Anyway all things considered...local availability, support etc, i think the silverstone olympia is a good 1kw psu, amp is one of the highest for 1kw and if their pricing follow the strider and zeus then shud be worth buying...not the overly priced galaxy. Also has a single 12v rail which means less wory abt balancing the rails. Abt ur casing maybe try the pc 201a/b, its got the same exact internals as the pc v2100plus but cheaper, with an extra 120mm fan but mobo tray not facing the left, iinm its around the price range of the pc a10 but bigger |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Mar 16 2007, 06:28 PM) Wehh, u're running e6600 @ 3150MHz at 1.3875volts? oc noobie, thats why, anyway mine retail version, not ES gem like gangstapo mention lol...actually i didnt try set it on auto...just bantai straight 1.3875 vcore, then slowly increase until i get 350fsb stable...@355 same vcore failed OCCT after 3 mins, also failed orthos altho cant remember after how long but def less than 30 minutes Why need to pump the vcore to that extend? My e6600 is running at 3.2GHz at the stock vcore [1.3125volts] only. No need to increase the vcore liao... Mine: 400X8 [3.2GHz] @ 1600MHz bus speed. Check this: I even did primed my e6600 at that clock speed at the stock vcore for 19hours with no problem at all. So why did you pump the vcore into that high? I believe if you set your setting the same as mine, you will have a much much lower temps than what you're having right now. |

QUOTE(s[H]sIkuA @ Mar 18 2007, 08:57 PM) whats mobo you using? Asus board particularly have annoying vdroop (Like mine) even u set 1.3875 the real vcore is just 1.3+ (my case, vdroop 0.7-0.8) using asus commando, dont know why but tune back to stock and all settings at auto now and coretemps reporting 40-42c idle, with tuniq tower and fan @ 1800rpm+-, is that normal? coz iinm previously using btvx i get idle around 38c at stock....was expecting more frm the tuniqso take that in mind |
