If ur mobo comes with MOBO utility software such as Asus, Gigabyte and MSI ... u could try it out ... usually it support temperature and fan monitoring..

or maybe u should clean up the heatsink and the fans.... after that apply a thin and even layer of AS5....

@mADmAN

agree with him.... the VIZO is Vantev with new brand name ... the same performance and noise level....

somehow it would be nice if the RPM could be lowered down .... it push lots of CFM...

There are two type of thermal paste in the market ... one is ceramic which is in white color ... another is in silver color

Famous thermal paste would be Artic Silver 5, Cooler Master Nano Fusion and Zalman STG1.

U could get the all 3 from bulk order while 2 and 3 from LYP ..

instruction of applying can be found in official website...

Why not when u are having a case with poor ventilation that cycle hot air repeatedly.

second possibility is ur cooler might not work properly anymore... check with the ATI Tool of the fan usage.

if the fan is always low of course the temperature would shoot up...

anyway 100c for X800XL is not possible only the latest X1800n series and up would have such result...

Come one men .. it would be hard to even to replace the fan ......

that's the main reason keeping me using ThermalRight products ...

some more it is easier to clean the heatsink .... dump to water and wipe off to bring that the shinning fins ....

no offense just sharing my sense ....

You are right about replacing the fans, but, the performance do really lure me out to try that heatsink... wub.gif

Hmm, want to try or not aa?
Hmm... whistling.gif

i stick with my HR-01 ... so far the result is more than satisfaction ... and noise level ...

feel like almost none... besides the GPU area of course ....

QUOTE(celciuz @ Jan 22 2007, 12:06 PM)
I'm using XP120 and my full load is about 65C. Am running on a Presshot core 3.0GHz, I'm thinking it might be cause by my casing perhaps? Since it only has 2 80cm intake and 2 80cm exhaust at the back.

Any recommendation on a good airflow casing?

I'm thinking of getting a Centurion 532. Or any other suggestions? Thanx.

532 will do if u really are in tight budget .... but i would personally suggest to go for Lian Li PC7 for RM 308... the air flow would be better as the HDD cage doesn't block much airflow as the CM 532... but there would be slight noise when using lian li hdd cage... it does not absorb or prevent the vibration much ...

i own both of the case before thumbup.gif

it just not that easy to secure it properly.. if it is original intel heatisnk it's still fine as not too heavy ..

i really don't understand why they even implement the push pin design as it is not suitable for heavy cooler ....

i think most of the manufacturer test it on the board that lay on top of something instead mount in vertical direction ...

the damage would be really serious gc, chipset cooler, and the most precious the casing ... coz once scratch there's hardly return for it ...

that heat sink also using the push pin mechanism ??

if so it is really poor as the heatsink is so large and the fan isn't small in the same time ...

who come out with the idea using push pin really lack of sense in mind...

how would four small plastic could hold the heat sink firmly ... they need to go back to the design board... even though it is easier to install but actually not practical for after market heat sink unless in the low profile category only..
